The young and the young at heart as well as families feel particularly at home on the colorful and bustling ships. But there are also retreats on board for those looking for peace and quiet. Particularly noteworthy is the excellent, varied cuisine on board.

This was my second cruise on this big, modern, con-temporarily designed ship.
That was the best part: Smeralda is a very big ship but with poor weather and few people going on deck, the inside facilities, esp the buffet, was overcrowded, awkward and very messy. Otherwise it is a well designed ship and on good weather the crowds would be more spaced out with less overcrowding. The staff were excellent on every level and were patient with the very demanding clientelle.
