The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). About Costa Pacifica
The Costa Pacifica was put into service in June 2009 and, along with the Costa Diadema, is one of the shipping company's largest ships. At the end of 2017, the Costa Pacifica was extensively modernised. Since then, two additional restaurants have been added to the culinary offer on board. New, interactive screens with various functions have also been added to the information on offer on the ship. On 12 decks, the approx. 3,000 passengers are offered a lot of fun, entertainment and comfort.

Sustainability Costa Pacifica
Since 2014, the Costa Crociere Foundation has been coordinating all of Costa Cruises' social and environmental initiatives. Through 32 projects, the foundation has already reached over 185,000 people in more than 130 countries. Its work ranges from educational programmes and environmental protection measures to social aid programmes implemented both in port cities and beyond. The foundation ensures that 100% of donations go directly to projects dedicated to current social and environmental challenges. With its new interactive educational project, ‘Guardians of the Sea,’ the cruise line continues to promote sustainability and environmental education. The playful and entertaining way in which children and teenagers between the ages of 6 and 17 are made aware of the importance of protecting the oceans plays a key role here. Through engaging activities, participants learn about sustainable behaviour and how to protect the oceans. Costa Pacifica staterooms
In total, the Costa Pacifica has 1,504 comfortable and modern cabins. Some staterooms offer direct access to the spa, many staterooms have a private balcony. Interior staterooms measure about 14 sqm, while oceanview and balcony staterooms offer about 17 sqm of space. Onboard suites feature a private balcony and range in size from 24 to 35 sqm. In the Samsara area, you can choose between interior, balcony staterooms and suites. These staterooms offer guests some additional privileges, such as unlimited access to the thermal area, among others.
Atmosphere on Board
On the Costa Pacifica, all guests from young to old feel at home. The ship offers something for every taste: dance tea or disco, a quiet spot on deck or the show stage at the Lido pool. Here, every guest can arrange their holiday according to their own wishes. The Costa Pacifica is an island of Italian joie de vivre, with a colourful and lively design. However, a cruise with this ship is not a club holiday either: as with classic cruises, there are two evenings during a 7-day voyage when festive attire is recommended.

In the various restaurants on board the Costa Pacifia, every guest can find the culinary delights to suit them. Whether in a relaxed atmosphere in the buffet restaurant or in one of the specialty restaurants with dishes from all over the world, the Costa Pacifica offers a variety of culinary alternatives.

- Sushino at Costa: Do you like nigiri, maki, sashimi and mochi? Then this sushi bistro is just the place for you.
- Pizzeria Pummid' Oro: Enjoy a freshly prepared pizza made with high-quality ingredients and slow-risen sourdough.
- The Salty Beach Street Food: Are you a burger fan? Here you will find the true flavors of street food.
- Élite Suite & Club Restaurant: Enjoy a gourmet menu with excellent service.
In the various lounges and bars (not included), such as the Grand Bar Rhapsody or the Wien Wien Bar, you can use your drinks packages, enjoy drinks and make new contacts.
Entertainment, sports and relaxation
Shows are presented every evening in the huge theatre. There is a casino, numerous bars and various opportunities for dancing. Especially for the younger guests and those young at heart, there is a disco on board. For daily entertainment there is also, for example, a large water slide and numerous shopping opportunities. In preparation for the individual ports, lectures are held about the destinations called at. Classic cruise entertainment is not neglected either: there are bingo games, game tournaments and many other offers that change daily.
The wellness area has been enlarged again compared to previous ships. On 6,000 sqm, the Samsara Spa offers a large fitness room with a magnificent sea view and various saunas and whirlpools. In addition, the Samsara Spa, run by the Steiner company, offers all kinds of health and beauty treatments (some for a fee). Four swimming pools, one of which has a retractable glass roof, five whirlpools, a multi-purpose sports field and an outdoor jogging track round off the facilities.
Our summary

Additional destination fees for cruise passengers: Some destinations charge a separate fee for cruise passengers to support local infrastructure and promote sustainable tourism, among other things. Costa Cruises passes on these additional costs and charges them to your onboard account at the end of your voyage. This is currently the case for:
- Iceland: Mandatory for all passengers, approx. 18 € per day/person for each 24-hour stay
- Greece: For all shore leavers, depending on the port/season varying fees (approx. 1-20 € per person/port)
Recommendation: Changes of hygiene, test, vaccination or entry requirements may occur shortly prior departure. Some countries require an online registration prior entry, the time limits and regulations vary. We recommend checking the current regulations for travelers and returnees in time prior departure.
