The Costa Pacifica was put into service in June 2009 and, along with the Costa Diadema, is one of the shipping company's largest ships. At the end of 2017, the Costa Pacifica was extensively modernised. Since then, two additional restaurants have been added to the culinary offer on board. New, interactive screens with various functions have also been added to the information on offer on the ship. On 12 decks, the approx. 3,000 passengers are offered a lot of fun, entertainment and comfort.
Costa Cruises belongs with its 75-year experience to the traditional European cruise lines. Italian cruise ship fans feel comfortable with the typical Italian atmosphere aboad. Depending on the itinerary there are many German and international passengers as well. The cruise line convinces with a good value for money. During the school holidays many families spend their holidays on the family friendly ships of the Costa Cruises fleet.
In total, the Costa Pacifica has 1,504 comfortable and modern cabins. Some staterooms offer direct access to the spa, many staterooms have a private balcony. Interior staterooms measure about 14 sqm, while oceanview and balcony staterooms offer about 17 sqm of space. Onboard suites feature a private balcony and range in size from 24 to 35 sqm. In the Samsara area, you can choose between interior, balcony staterooms and suites. These staterooms offer guests some additional privileges, such as unlimited access to the thermal area, among others.
On the Costa Pacifica, all guests from young to old feel at home. The ship offers something for every taste: dance tea or disco, a quiet spot on deck or the show stage at the Lido pool. Here, every guest can arrange their holiday according to their own wishes. The Costa Pacifica is an island of Italian joie de vivre, with a colourful and lively design. However, a cruise with this ship is not a club holiday either: as with classic cruises, there are two evenings during a 7-day voyage when festive attire is recommended.

In the various lounges and bars (not included), such as the Grand Bar Rhapsody or the Wien Wien Bar, you can use your drinks packages, enjoy drinks and make new contacts.
Shows are presented every evening in the huge theatre. There is a casino, numerous bars and various opportunities for dancing. Especially for the younger guests and those young at heart, there is a disco on board. For daily entertainment there is also, for example, a large water slide and numerous shopping opportunities. In preparation for the individual ports, lectures are held about the destinations called at. Classic cruise entertainment is not neglected either: there are bingo games, game tournaments and many other offers that change daily.
The wellness area has been enlarged again compared to previous ships. On 6,000 sqm, the Samsara Spa offers a large fitness room with a magnificent sea view and various saunas and whirlpools. In addition, the Samsara Spa, run by the Steiner company, offers all kinds of health and beauty treatments (some for a fee). Four swimming pools, one of which has a retractable glass roof, five whirlpools, a multi-purpose sports field and an outdoor jogging track round off the facilities.
