Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). The Icon of the Seas is the first ship in the Icon class. It is powered by LNG (environmentally friendly liquefied natural gas), uses the latest technology to reduce emissions and save energy. The ship offers many familiar and new activities and experiences for guests of all ages, such as the largest water park at sea with six slides or the FlowRider surf simulator. Aboard the Icon of the Seas you have the choice between numerous modern and comfortably furnished staterooms. In addition to the inside and oceanview staterooms with sizes ranging from approx. 14.5 sqm to 24 sqm, you can choose between balcony staterooms with sea view, view of the Central Park or the Surfside. These staterooms are approx. 18 sqm to 26.5 sqm in size. The various suite categories not only offer luxury, but also a unique view of the sea. The sizes of the suites range from the approx. 30 sqm Junior Suites to the approx. 40 sqm Grand Suite to the Owner's Suite and the Icon Loft Suite with a size of approx. 61 sqm. The elegantly furnished Royal Loft Suite with approx. 137.5 sqm even has its own whirlpool on the balcony. The colorful Ultimate Family Townhouse not only impresses with its size of approx. 164.5 sqm, but also with special features such as its own slide or a table tennis table.
Atmosphere aboard Icon of the Seas
The Icon of the Seas is a ship for all age groups, with guests who appreciate a comprehensive range of entertainment and activities getting their money's worth. The audience is international with a majority of American guests. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with festive attire expected in the main restaurant on some evenings. If you prefer more casual dining, you can choose to dine in other restaurants on such evenings. Icon of the Seas has eight so-called Neighborhoods, each offering different entertainment or relaxation options, such as the new Neighborhood "Surfside" - a neighborhood especially for families.

The culinary offer on board includes approx. 21 restaurants, cafés, lounges and bars, where every guest will find what they are looking for. A culinary variety awaits you, ranging from traditional to modern dishes. While the main and buffet restaurants with international cuisine are already included in the price, there is an additional charge for the specialty restaurants. End the day with a cool drink accompanied by Caribbean live music, for example in "The Lime and Coconut Bar", or order a drink in the first floating bar "Swim & Tonic". As for all other services on board, a service surcharge is added to the drink prices.
Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation
The Icon of the Seas offers spectacular attractions for young and old, such as the largest water park at sea (Category 6) with a total of six slides. Muster up all your courage and dare to go down the first free-fall water slide at sea, the Pressure Drop. The Surfside Neighbourhood is a family-friendly area full of activities and fun. The expansive Splashaway Bay Aqua park awaits with a giant water bucket shower, fountains and slides. Face a challenging new obstacle on the climbing wall, Adrenaline Peak, or play a round on the mini golf course. In "The Hideaway", experience beach club atmosphere and a unique view of the sea - in the suspended infinity pool that seems to float at the height of the eighth floor. Enjoy live music and DJ performances on "Chill Island", an oasis with a huge pool, elevated whirlpools, bars and floating loungers. Of course, you also have the option of visiting the classic fitness studio or really pampering yourself in the wellness and spa area (treatments partly for a fee). In the evening, you can marvel at great shows under an enchanting towering waterfall in the AquaDome or enjoy a unique figure skating show in the large ice arena "Absolute Zero". The ship's dog "Rover", the four-legged mascot on board, accompanies you throughout the journey and looks forward to numerous caressing sessions.
