On September 27, at around 9:30 a.m., we called the elevator on deck 11 to go down to deck 5 in order to disembark in Cagliari for a walk. However, something very frightening happened – the elevator got stuck between decks 11 and 10. It was shaking violently, and it felt as if we were about to fall down.
We repeatedly pressed the SOS button, but the operator did not respond for a long time. When the operator finally answered, we asked for help, and after some time, the elevator doors opened and we were able to get out.
It was a very terrifying experience. We did not receive any apology from the reception for the ruined day and the emotional stress.
For the rest of the cruise, we used the stairs because we were too afraid to take the elevator again.
This is a serious safety issue – passenger safety must always come first!
Another unpleasant situation happened with a payment issue. We made a purchase in the onboard shop using our cruise card. The next day, through the ATM on deck 7, we transferred money from our debit card to the cruise card.
Before the end of the cruise, our account showed a balance due of €123, so we went to reception to clarify the situation. The staff told us that the payment supposedly did not reach MSC, that the funds were probably frozen, and that we needed to pay again.
On the last day of the cruise, we called our bank and confirmed that the money had already been transferred to MSC’s account. We informed the reception that we would not make a double payment and that their accounting department should resolve the issue internally.
We had to wait on board on the day of disembarkation while the staff investigated, and we were delayed for our transfer to the train station. Eventually, they found the payment and allowed us to leave.
In addition, €3 was charged five times instead of once, and we were told the money would be refunded, but it never was.
This was a very unpleasant and stressful experience.
We had the Easy Package (15 drinks per person). The wine was of poor quality, and the cocktails at the pool bar were terrible, although the bars on deck 6 were much better.
The food at the buffet was very good, but in the main restaurants included in the cruise, the portions were very small and the food was not tasty.
The cleanliness in our cabin was perfect.

- improve the payment system on the ship, the service at the pool bar and fix the elevators, we were stuck on the 11th floor, there was no sense of safety and the staff didn’t even apologize
