The Silver Nova is one of the most climate-neutral cruise ships in the world. It lies in port without emissions, as it is connected to shore power there. On the high seas, it runs on liquefied gas. This emits 97 % fewer pollutants than ships powered by oil.

To be environmentally friendly, there is no plastic tableware/plastic bottles on board. Each guest receives a water bottle that can be filled at water refill stations.

The Silver Nova is the first Silversea Cruises ship to exclusively feature suites with balconies. For all guests, an individual view of the open sea is offered.
