Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). The Brilliance of the Seas was built at Meyer shipyard in Papenburg and put into service in 2002. The ship belongs to the "Radiance" class of Royal Caribbean International and was last enhanced in May 2013. The main restaurant extends over two decks and offers beautiful panoramic views through the meter-high glass front. The Windjammer Café offers delicious buffets and beautiful views of the sea too. A pizzeria and Seaview Café with sandwiches, soups and snacks are also available at no additional charge. Overall, the cuisine is good and tasty. For a surcharge, a table can be reserved in the exquisite "Portofino" restaurant or the steakhouse "Chops Grille". Café Latté-tudes serves a variety of coffees.
Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation
Whether you prefer quiet evenings or want to dance the night away, aboard the Brilliance of the Seas, there's something for every taste. Elaborate shows offer more options for evening entertainment. Also during the day, various programs are on offer: from classic bingo games and lectures, to climbing wall and mini-golf, there are numerous entertainment options. In one of the many bars, you can end the day with a drink and nice conversation. The spa offers a large fitness area with stunning sea views, a pool with relaxation area ("solarium"), numerous courses such as yoga or tai chi (partially for a fee) as well as a sauna, steam room and numerous pampering and beauty treatments (for a fee). Two more pools and some whirlpools on deck invite you to swim and splash around. A jogging track and a sports court for basketball and other ball sports are more possibilities for sports on board.
