Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). The ship is entirely dedicated to the play of light and is characterized by crystal clear and colorful luminosity. Carnival Cruise Line has taken over the Luminosa from Costa Cruises.

Staterooms
The cabins on the Carnival Luminosa are very spacious and comfortable. The inside cabins have 14 square metres of space, the outside and balcony cabins 18 square metres. The suites convince with 31-60 square metres. There are a total of 1130 cabins on board, of which 662 cabins and all 106 suites have a private balcony. On board there are also special cabins and suites in the Cloud 9 category, which offer wellness lovers some special amenities. In the Cloud 9 area, you can choose between inside cabins, balcony cabins and suites.
Atmosphere on Board
On Carnival ships it is almost impossible not to feel well entertained. But that doesn't mean travellers have to be afraid of being forcibly entertained: There is plenty of room for rest and relaxation. The dress code reflects this concept. Dress is casual during the day and festive in the evening in the main restaurant. In the buffet restaurant there is always something delicious to eat, even without a dress code. Guests come from all over the world, but most travellers are from the USA and Canada. For this reason, guests who have at least a basic knowledge of English feel most at home on board.
Food and Beverages
At meal times, guests may choose from a variety of buffets or dine at the restaurant with friendly service. For dinner, the main restaurant offers two sessions or an open table time. For a fee, there are two specialty restaurants on board. At the Steakhouse, guests can enjoy succulent steaks, delicious fillets and fresh salads, while Bonsai Sushi offers Asian delights. There is also a free 24-hour room service which will bring you some small treats to the cabin.
Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation
Whether theatre over 3 decks, casino, discotheque, GrandBar with dance floor, golf simulator, outdoor putting green, pool deck with retractable glass roof or giant cinema screen - the Carnival Luminosa offers guests a varied entertainment programme. There are a total of 12 different bars on board, including the Cigar Lounge for stylish tobacco enjoyment and the Coffee & Chocolate Bar for those with a sweet tooth.
The Cloud9 Spa, a wellness area covering 3,500 m² and two decks, offers a fitness centre, thermal bath, thalassotherapy pool, various rooms for treatments, sauna and Turkish steam bath, solarium, four whirlpools and three swimming pools (one with a retractable glass roof). For those who want to be active, the multi-purpose sports field or the roller skating rink are the right place to be.
