Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). Norwegian Gem staterooms
The cabins aboard the Norwegian Gem are modern and comfortably furnished. The inside cabins are about 13 sqm in size, the outside cabins measure 15 sqm and the balcony cabins have about 19 sqm of space. All cabins have separate beds or a double bed, some cabins also have a 3rd and 4th bed, usually as an upper folding bed. The guests of the suites and villas (between 31.5 and 395 sqm) are offered pure luxury, including butlers and concierge as well as daily attentions. You also have access to a private Courtyard area with private pool, sundeck and fitness area.
Atmosphere on board of Norwegian Gem
The atmosphere on board it is easy and relaxed. Guests from numerous countries travel with the ships of Norwegian Cruise Line. Everything is possible. You can pack festive clothes, as there are gala dinners for some dining options. You do not feel like dressing up? No problem - there are no strict clothing rules on board. In the main restaurants only swimwear and shorts are not desired. The Norwegian Cruise Line offers the perfect holiday for young and young at heart. At the same time there are always quiet corners, cozy bars and places on deck, so that all guests get their money’s worth.
Norwegian Gem restaurants
Aboard the Norwegian Cruise Line ships you can enjoy your dinner without fixed table times and have the choice between many different dining options. It is advisable to book a table in advance in the specialty restaurants, where you can enjoy delicacies from all over the world at an extra cost. There is a steakhouse, a French restaurant, a sushi bar, a teppanyaki, a tapas or tex-mex and an italian restaurant (surcharge). At no extra charge, there are buffet restaurants, two à la carte restaurants, the 24-hour Blue Lagoon Restaurant for those in between, a barbecue bar in the pool area and 24-hour cabin service. There is also a children's restaurant for the young guests on board. In the numerous bars you can make yourself comfortable. Connoisseurs or even newbies get their money's worth in the whiskey bar or cigar bar, as well as in the cocktail bar or one of the many other options.
Entertainment, Sports and Relaxation
The large bowling alley is one of the highlights on the ship. The Stardust Theater offers big shows every day. A Las Vegas-style casino can be found on board, as well as quieter areas such as a card game room, a library, an art gallery and an Internet café. Of course, there is also a disco / night club where you can dance the night away. There is an exclusive club offer for the kids and teens. They are separated in different age groups and each group has qualified supervisors, parents are not allowed. But the whole family can enjoy karaoke or the video arcade. On the Norwegian Gem there is also exclusive interactive television. For the more active guests a large variety of sporty possibilities are offered: A large fitness area, open 24 hours a day, leaves nothing to be desired. A jogging track, basketball / volleyball court and numerous aerobics classes have something for everyone. Ping-pong tables and golf tees, as well as swimming pools and whirlpools may of course also be missing. A special highlight is the on-board climbing wall. In the wellness area, a luxurious spa offer of the highest class is available. The Yin & Yang Spa leaves nothing to be desired. Beauty or massage treatments, a hairdresser's visit or various saunas are available for your relaxation.
