The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.

You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). The ship Norwegian Joy

Norwegian Joy is the sister ship of the Norwegian Bliss and thus part of the Breakaway Plus class. At a length of 333.5 meters, the ship can accommodate around 3,804 guests on 18 passenger decks with double occupancy. This makes it one of the largest cruise ships in the world. On the Norwegian Joy you can enjoy year-round cruises along the American West Coast to Alaska, the Mexican Riviera and the Panama Canal from Miami or Los Angeles. The ship is modern in design and offers many highlights for every guest and every taste. Please note that the ship is mainly for the Asian market.

Norwegian Joy staterooms

On board the Norwegian Joy you can choose between a variety of different stateroom categories. The stateroom sizes vary between approx. 12.5 sqm to approx. 135.5 sqm depending on the category. From The Haven Suite with a 24-hour butler service and a private sundeck to the balcony stateroom to the studio with special amenities for solo travelers, there is hardly anything left to be desired. The staterooms are all extremely modern and offer comfort and ample opportunities to stow your luggage.

Atmosphere on board of Norwegian Joy

There is an easy and relaxed atmosphere on board. Guests from numerous countries travel on Norwegian Cruise Line ships. Everything is possible. You can take festive clothes with you on your trip, because there is a gala evening in selected dining options. Don't feel like dressing up? This is not a problem either, because there are no clothing constraints on board. Only swimwear and shorts are not welcome in the main restaurants. The Norwegian Cruise Line offers the perfect vacation for young and young at heart. At the same time, there are always quiet corners, cosy bars and a cozy spot on deck, so that all guests looking for peace and quiet will get their money's worth. The on-board language is English and guests pay their bills in US dollars.

Norwegian restaurants

On board the Norwegian Joy you can choose between many different dining options. There are no fixed table times. In some of the specialty restaurants, you can enjoy the culinary delicacies at an additional cost. For example in Cagney's Steakhouse, in the Italian restaurant La Cucina or in the French restaurant Le Bistro. Alternatively, you can choose to dine in one of the main restaurants, which are already included in the travel price. There is really something for everyone on this ship. The observation lounge with a fully equipped bar offers a spectacular panoramic view.

Entertainment, sports & relaxation

A versatile entertainment programme ensures that you will not get bored during the trip. Enjoy musicals, film screenings and other evening shows in the theater, try your luck at poker in the casino or turn night into day in the ship's night club, where you can party until the early hours of the morning. There is entertainment around the clock on the ship: For those who prefer to take it a little easier, places such as the art gallery, an internet café and a shopping mile also invite you to linger. If you would like to do sports during your trip, there is a comprehensive selection of sports equipment and courses in the large fitness area on board. In the wellness area you can expect a luxurious wellness offer of the highest class. In addition to a beauty salon and various saunas, professionally trained massage therapists take care of your wellbeing.

Children on board of Norwegian Joy

Are there any activities for children on board? We can definitely answer this with "Yes". Childcare is divided into different age groups, and there are also seasons in which all children play together. "Guppies" is the play group for the little ones: Here parents can enjoy free time and various toys with their babies. There are also guided activities that are carried out by a coordinator for early childhood education under parental supervision. In the "Splash Academy", the older children are looked after during opening hours and can try out the diverse range. Your accompanying teenagers are best looked after in "Entourage". This is the place of retreat to which parents have no access. Adolescents are offered everything from feature films to dance parties.

German and English speaking specialists are available to you on board and during the shore excursions at any time with advice and action. Shore excursions can be booked directly online at Norwegian Cruise Line or on board. Should you decide otherwise, you can change or cancel your booked excursions free of charge up to 48 hours before arrival in the relevant port. Norwegian Cruise Line works exclusively with insured tour operators.

Our summary

Guests feel comfortable on board who want to experience a relaxed and informal vacation on the water in an international atmosphere. The trips are offered at comparatively very reasonable prices, and there is a lot on board. Families also like to travel on the Norwegian Cruise Line. The studio concept also makes solo travelers particularly comfortable on board the Norwegian Joy.
