About Phoenix Reisen

The German tour operator Phoenix Reisen was founded in 1973. In 1988 they started cruising the oceans with the charter of the ship Maxim Gorki. Starting as a pure ocean shipping company, Phoenix Reisen expanded its range in 1993 to include the popular river cruises. The four well-known ocean liners are now joined by more than 30 river ships as well as a few smaller ships for exceptional destinations. The shipping company is still in family hands and attaches great importance to a friendly and pleasant atmosphere aboard their ships.

Atmosphere on board of Rajmahal

As on all Phoenix ships, the atmosphere aboard the Rajmahal is cosy and casual. Due to the maximum number of passengers of only 40 guests, you travel in a particularly small group and in a familiar atmosphere. The dress code on board is casual and should be adapted to the tropical climate of the region.

Rajmahal restaurants, bars & lounges

On the Rajmahal, the attentive restaurant and kitchen team will serve you local dishes and specialties in buffet form. In the restaurant, which is already included in the cruise price, there is a common table time and free choice of seats. There is also a salon with bar (not included), which invites you to end the evening in a cozy atmosphere.

Entertainment, sports & relaxation

The Entertainment can only be offered in a limited form due to the size of the ship. On the observation deck and sundeck with shaded areas and very comfortable armchairs and loungers, you can let your mind wander and let the impressive river landscape pass by. Do not miss the chance to be pampered in the massage salon.

Rajmahal shore excursions

Through a variety of shore excursions, you have the opportunity to get to know the country and its people along the route. The excursion program is adapted to the length of stay of the ship and is accompanied by qualified tour guides. The excursions are usually in German language. The shore excursions can be booked directly on board or partly in advance online at the shipping company. Payment is on board. At some cruises a variety of shore excursions is already included.
