DCS Amethyst Classic

The tour operator and provider of river cruises DCS-Touristik was founded in 1985 and is specialized in high-quality bus-boat combination journeys as well as group, event, and city trips. The itineraries of the cruises lead mostly along the rivers Danube, Main, Rhine, Moselle and Volga. Also offshore cruises to Croatia and Greece were recently added to the programme.

The DCS Amethyst Classic is a modern and comfortable river ship. In 2018, a partial renovation was carried out, during which all staterooms and public areas were redesigned. With a length of approx. 106 m, the DSC Amethyst Classic offers space for up to 110 passengers. The language on board is German and English.

All staterooms on board the DCS Amethyst Classic are outside staterooms and comfortably furnished. The staterooms on the main deck have a panoramic window which can be opened in the upper third. On the upper deck, the staterooms are equipped with French balconies. The deluxe staterooms are also located on the upper deck and also have a larger bathroom with window. All staterooms also have a shower and WC, TV, radio, individually regulated air conditioning, telephone, safe and hairdryer.

On embarkation day, you can reserve your table in the restaurant for the duration of the entire cruise. The menu includes international specialities as well as typical dishes from the countries along the route. In the afternoon you will be served tea, coffee with pastries and cakes alternating with midnight snacks in the evening.

Linger on the large sun deck with numerous loungers and enjoy the view of the landscape. You can recover from an eventful shore excursion and recharge your batteries in the wellness area with sauna and indoor pool. On the other hand, you can work out intensively with the fitness equipment available. The theme evenings with live music provide a lot of fun on board or you can use the large selection of board games for your evening activities.

The cruise line offers optional bookable shore excursions, which are adapted to the respective length of stay in the port. City walks or scenic drives invite you to discover all the beautiful places along the river course.
