DCS Amethyst

The tour operator and provider of river cruises DCS-Touristik was founded in 1985 and specializes in high-quality bus-ship combination tours as well as group, event and city trips. The routes of the cruises lead predominantly along the rivers Danube, Main, Rhine, Moselle and Volga. In addition, some ocean cruises are on the program, calling at numerous ports in Croatia and Greece.

The 87 modern and comfortably furnished staterooms have a size of approx. 15 sqm. The windows on the main deck cannot be opened for safety reasons. The two approx. 22 sqm suites have French balconies, as the staterooms on the upper decks. All staterooms are equipped with double beds, which can also be arranged as separate twin beds. They also have a shower and WC, TV, radio, individually regulated air conditioning, telephone, safe and hairdryer. Particularly interesting for families are the twelve staterooms equipped with connecting doors.

Make yourself comfortable on one of the many loungers on the sun deck and enjoy the view. Changing evening events such as the crew show, the quiz or the pirate evening provide entertainment on board. Culinary delights await you in the classy panorama restaurant, where all guests can be seated comfortably at their table time. The café offers delicious coffee specialities, while you can enjoy a drink or two at the bar. On embarkation day, you can reserve your table in the restaurant for the duration of the entire cruise. The menu includes international specialities as well as typical dishes from the countries along the route. The kitchen crew of the DCS Amethyst also offers you culinary highlights live on board, for example an apple strudel show or Kaiserschmarrn demonstration.

Linger on the large sun deck with numerous loungers and enjoy the view of the landscape. A special feature is the open-air deck in the bow of the ship, which is part of the spa area. You can recover from an eventful shore excursion in the wellness area with sauna and whirlpool and recharge your batteries. On the other hand, you can work out intensively with the available fitness equipment. The quiz evenings and live music in the bar provide a lot of fun on board or you can use the large selection of board games for your evening activities.

The cruise line offers optional bookable shore excursions, which are adapted to the respective length of stay in the port. City walks or scenic drives invite you to discover all the beautiful places along the river course.
