Since 2014, the Costa Crociere Foundation has been coordinating all of Costa Cruises' social and environmental initiatives. Through 32 projects, the foundation has already reached over 185,000 people in more than 130 countries. Its work ranges from educational programmes and environmental protection measures to social aid programmes implemented both in port cities and beyond. The foundation ensures that 100% of donations go directly to projects dedicated to current social and environmental challenges. With its new interactive educational project, ‘Guardians of the Sea,’ the cruise line continues to promote sustainability and environmental education. The playful and entertaining way in which children and teenagers between the ages of 6 and 17 are made aware of the importance of protecting the oceans plays a key role here. Through engaging activities, participants learn about sustainable behaviour and how to protect the oceans. There are a total of 1508 modern and comfortably furnished staterooms on board. Of these, 524 have a private balcony. The inside staterooms are 14 sqm, the outside and balcony staterooms 16 sqm. The suites are impressive with 20-36 sqm. On board there are also special staterooms and suites in the Samsara category, which offer wellness lovers some special amenities. In the Samsara area, you can choose between interior staterooms, balcony staterooms and suites.

The atmosphere on board of Costa Favolosa is very international with a special focus on the Italian way of life. Many passengers and crew members speak German. The dress code is casual and informal. On a few days in the main restaurant there are Gala evenings for which a more elegant clothing is suitable. The ship is very family friendly and a lot of children and teenagers are happy about the special entertainment programme.

In the various restaurants on board the Costa Favolosa, every guest can find the right culinary delights for them. Whether in a relaxed atmosphere in the buffet restaurant or in one of the specialty restaurants with dishes from all over the world, the Costa Favolosa offers a variety of culinary alternatives.

• Archipelago: Discover a place with an innovative and sustainable design. The menus are created by international chefs Bruno Barbieri, Hélène Darroze and Ángel León.
• Teppanyaki Restaurant: Here you can experience a great cooking show from the Japanese chefs
• Sushino at Costa: Do you like nigiri, maki, sashimi and mochi? Then this sushi bistro is just right for you.
• Pizzeria Pummid' Oro: Enjoy a freshly prepared pizza made with high-quality ingredients and slow-risen sourdough.
• The Salty Beach Street Food: Are you a burger fan? Here you will find the true flavors of street food.
• Club Restaurant: Enjoy a gourmet menu with excellent service.

In the various lounges and bars (not included) like the Grand Bar Palatino or the Bar dell'Ondina, you can use your drinks packages, enjoy drinks and make new contacts.

Shows are presented every evening in the huge theatre. There is a casino, numerous bars and various opportunities for dancing. There is a disco on board especially for the younger guests and those young at heart. For diversion during the day, there is a 4D cinema, a large water slide and numerous shopping opportunities. In preparation for the individual ports, lectures are held about the destinations called at. Classic cruise entertainment is not neglected either: there are bingo games, game tournaments and many other offers that change daily.
The wellness area has been enlarged again compared to previous ships. On 6,000 sqm, the Samsara Spa offers a large fitness room with a magnificent sea view and various saunas and whirlpools for a fee. In addition, every conceivable health and beauty treatment is offered for a fee in the spa managed by the Steiner company. There are five whirlpools on board, four swimming pools (one with a retractable glass roof), a multi-purpose sports court and an outdoor jogging track.
