Rüdesheim am Rhein is the picturesque heart of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley and enchants visitors with its world-famous winemaking charm. The idyllic location between steep vineyards and the glittering river creates a romantic backdrop, offering an incomparable atmosphere thanks to historic half-timbered houses and a lively wine culture. River cruise ships dock directly at the central landing stages on the banks of the Rhine, known as the Steiger. Thanks to this prime location, guests can reach the old town and the cable car valley station in just a few minutes on foot, allowing for a comfortable exploration of this Rhenish jewel.

Rüdesheim am Rhein is a charming starting point for river cruises in the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley and impresses with its first-class location directly on the water. The various piers are spread along the picturesque riverside promenade and can be reached on foot from the town center and the train station in just a few minutes.

Car

Via the A66 motorway and the B42 federal road, Rüdesheim is directly connected to the Rhine-Main area and is easily accessible for travelers from all directions. When arriving from the south or west via the A61, the crossing with the car ferry from Bingen offers a first panoramic view of the valley; additionally, practical parking areas for long-term guests are available at the edge of the harbor at the P4 (Rheinhalle) and P5 (Auf der Lach) parking lots.

Train

Rüdesheim (Rhein) station is regularly served by the RheingauLinie (RB10) and offers direct connections to Frankfurt am Main, Wiesbaden, and Koblenz. The various ship piers on the promenade are located only about 500 to 900 meters from the station, so you can reach your cruise ship quite relaxed after a short walk along the Rhine.

Airplane

Thanks to its proximity to Frankfurt am Main Airport (FRA), which is only about 50 kilometers away, Rüdesheim is also ideally connected for guests with a longer journey from Switzerland or Austria. A taxi or a private shuttle takes about 45 to 60 minutes for the route; furthermore, the good train connection from Frankfurt Airport via Wiesbaden ensures direct and comfortable accessibility to the harbor.
