Bonn Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) acts as an important hub in the Deutsche Bahn rail network and offers regular IC and ICE connections from all parts of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The Beethoven-Haus

The historic Beethoven-Haus in the Bonngasse is reachable on foot in less than fifteen minutes from the central ship piers and offers an impressive journey back in time into the life of the world-famous composer. The authentically designed rooms of the birthplace house the world's largest Beethoven collection and invite you to discover precious original manuscripts as well as personal instruments in an inspiring atmosphere. Thanks to its location in the middle of the charming pedestrian zone, the visit can be ideally combined with a stroll across the nearby Marktplatz and a visit to the surrounding high-quality cafés. It is best to visit the museum directly in the morning to experience the special aura of the rooms in peace and return to the ship around midday for a relaxed onward journey.

Returning to the ship

The return journey to the berths on the banks of the Rhine is very comfortable and safe thanks to the city's central location. Simply plan a small buffer for the short walk from the city center to the water to reach your ship on time.

Taxi

Taxi ranks can be found at central hubs such as the Bonner Marktplatz, directly at the Main Station (Hauptbahnhof), and in front of major hotels like the Hilton Bonn or the Marriott Hotel at the World Conference Center. A ride to the ship is possible at short notice at any time and will take you directly and comfortably to the respective pier at the Brassertufer or the Bonner Bogen.

Public Transport

Tram lines 62 and 66, as well as numerous buses, run frequently and stop at central stations such as Bertha-von-Suttner-Platz or the Universität/Markt stop. From these points, you can reach the ship moorings within a few minutes' walk thanks to short and level access paths through the parks on the banks of the Rhine.

On Foot

From the Beethoven-Haus or the Altes Rathaus, you can walk directly to the Rhine in about 10 to 15 minutes and follow the wide riverside promenade to your berth. Thanks to clear signage and the prominent Kennedybrücke, the path is easy to find and remains safe and pleasant to walk at any time of day.
