Car

Via the A48 and A61 motorways as well as the B49 federal road, you can quickly reach the heart of the Moselle Valley and the piers. For the duration of your cruise, guarded long-term parking spaces and the car park at the leisure center are available in Cochem; additionally, local partners offer comfortable park-and-cruise options including transfer to the ship.

Train

Cochem (Mosel) station is an important stop on the Moselle line and is ideally connected to the long-distance transport hubs of Koblenz and Trier thanks to regular Regional-Express connections. From the station, you can easily reach the ship moorings in about ten minutes on foot or within a few minutes by taxi.

Airplane

The best way to arrive by air is via Frankfurt Airport (FRA), which is located around 130 kilometers away and has excellent ICE connections to Koblenz. Alternatively, Frankfurt-Hahn Airport (HHN), about 40 kilometers away, offers a very nearby option from which you can easily reach your terminal by rental car or shuttle service.

This charming trolley train departs regularly from the Moselpromenade near the docks and takes you comfortably through the city and up toward the castle. Thanks to the informative commentary during the journey, you will simultaneously gain a wonderful overview of the region's history and the surrounding vineyards.

Taxi and Chairlift

Official taxis can be found at the nearby station square and can also be ordered directly to the pier. Within a few minutes on foot, you can also reach the Cochem chairlift (Cochemer Sesselbahn), which transports you directly to the Pinnerkreuz viewpoint and offers you a comfortable ride over the vine-covered landscape.

Reichsburg Cochem

The majestic Reichsburg Cochem towers over the city and can be reached from the ship pier on the Moselle promenade in about fifteen to twenty minutes on foot or very comfortably by shuttle bus. This impressive castle complex offers fascinating insights into knightly history and also provides a spectacular panoramic view over the winding Moselle valley and the surrounding vineyards. The complex is perfectly suited for a cultural tour and features a cozy Burgschenke, which invites you to refresh yourself in a historical atmosphere. Ideally, visit the castle in the morning to experience the guided tours in peace and then take a relaxed stroll through the picturesque old town back to the harbor.

Returning to the ship

The way back to your river ship in Cochem is extremely pleasant and easy to navigate due to the central location of the berths on the Moselpromenade. Thanks to the short distances, you will reach your ship on time and stress-free directly at the riverbank.

On Foot

From the historic Marktplatz or the chairlift, you can walk in just a few minutes directly down to the Moselpromenade, where the ships are moored in plain sight. The descent from the Reichsburg Cochem is easy to manage in about 15 minutes thanks to well-maintained and signposted paths through the old town and also offers beautiful photo opportunities.

Taxi and Reichsburg Shuttle

For the way back from the castle, the convenient shuttle bus line 701 is available, taking you directly to the central bus station at Endertplatz. Additional taxis can be found at Cochem station as well as at Endertplatz, reaching your respective pier on Uferstraße in a very short time.

Mosel-Wein-Express

The yellow trackless train offers a relaxed way to return through the town and drops guests off at central points near the waterfront promenade. This allows you to enjoy the view of the half-timbered houses until the last minute while arriving safely and punctually back on board.
