Important information regarding cruises with dogs:

• Dogs are absolutely welcome on this voyage. Loving welcome gifts, selected rewards as part of dog training, and small surprises are offered during the trip.
• Number: One dog weighing up to 25 kg OR with a shoulder height of up to 50 cm is welcome per booked stateroom. If the dog exceeds the values for both specifications (both weight and shoulder height), please contact us during your reservation so that we can clarify this for you with 1AVista Reisen. In case of minimal deviations, you are welcome to book directly without prior consultation. For two dogs in a standard stateroom, both furry friends must be under 30 cm in shoulder height. In the Junior Suite and in stateroom 223 (triple stateroom), two dogs can also travel under the regular regulations, as these staterooms are slightly larger.
• Requirement: Dogs that are kept in a house or apartment, are house-trained, and have good social behavior can travel. Female dogs in heat may be excluded from the voyage if they noticeably disrupt the daily routine. Dangerous dog breeds according to the dog ordinance of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia will not be allowed, unless these dogs have demonstrably passed a temperament test.
• Documents: A valid EU pet passport with a valid rabies vaccination and a microchip for identification is required for your four-legged friend. In the case of four-legged friends from the category of dangerous dog breeds, the corresponding temperament test certificate must be submitted at the time of booking and must be carried on board upon arrival. Liability for dogs brought along lies with the owner; valid dog liability insurance is recommended.
• On board: In all guest areas - except in the wellness area - the dog is permitted on a leash; taking the dog into the restaurant is not recommended (provided that a solitary rest period in the stateroom in an unfamiliar environment is okay for the respective furry friend). In addition, it is recommended to bring a muzzle in order to be able to use it if necessary - for example, in case of increased stress or special circumstances or requirements ashore.
• Care: Fresh drinking water is available in all public areas and the stateroom. Please bring the usual food with you; a cooling or freezing option for fresh food or BARF is offered on board. Treats are offered at the reception and during the free dog training sessions.
• Relief: Just in case, a small dog lawn is available on the sun deck, which is watered during the trip and also completely changed once a week.

To apply the discount, a copy of your ID is required at the time of booking; no refunds can be issued after the start of the cruise. On dog-friendly cruises, proof of your dog’s date of birth is provided via the EU pet passport. The birthday bonus can only be applied to the river cruise fare and cannot be combined with other price reductions (guarantee staterooms etc.). Only one discount is possible per stateroom.
