The main airport for arrival is Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO) near San José. The route follows the well-maintained Highway 27 and the Costanera Sur (Highway 34) along the Pacific coast.

Due to the long journey from the DACH region and the transfer times, an overnight stay in San José or directly in Quepos/Manuel Antonio on the day before embarkation is highly recommended.
