Port Information
Arrecife is the charming capital of Lanzarote and serves as a gateway to a fascinating volcanic landscape in the middle of the Atlantic. The port city combines maritime flair with Canarian authenticity and offers visitors a picturesque backdrop of whitewashed houses and deep blue water. Cultural highlights in the immediate vicinity include the idyllic Charco de San Ginés lagoon with its colorful fishing boats and the historic Castillo de San Gabriel; furthermore, the International Museum of Contemporary Art in the Castillo de San José is within easy reach. Ships dock at the Muelle de los Mármoles or the centrally located Muelle de Naos, from where the city center can be comfortably reached in just a few minutes thanks to short shuttle rides.
The port of Arrecife is excellently developed thanks to its central location and modern infrastructure, with cruise ships docking at Muelle de los Mármoles or the city-center Muelle de Naos, depending on their size. The short distances between the island's airport and the terminals ensure a comfortable arrival for guests from the entire DACH region.
Airplane
Lanzarote Airport (ACE) is located only about 10 to 15 kilometers south of the port facilities and is served by direct flights from numerous airports in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The flight time from Central Europe is around four to five hours, and thanks to the short distances, travelers reach their ship after a very short drive after landing.
Transfer & Taxi
For the transfer from the airport to the terminal, numerous taxis are available directly in front of the arrival area, which will bring you comfortably to the respective Muelle in about 15 to 20 minutes. In addition, many guests use the practical shuttle services provided by the cruise lines or the public bus connections on lines 22 and 23, which offer a direct link to the city center of Arrecife.
Car Rental & Parking
Individual travelers can reach the port areas via the well-developed LZ-2 highway, which connects the airport directly with the island's capital and merges into the LZ-3. Ample public parking is available at the port, and numerous car rental stations at the airport and near the port allow for flexible arrival arrangements and the opportunity to explore the island independently before embarkation.
