From the south (e.g., Rome), you can reach Porto Santo Stefano via the A12 freeway or the SS1 Aurelia (E80) towards Civitavecchia/Grosseto, also taking the Orbetello or Albinia exit and continuing on the SS440. The panoramic road on the peninsula offers beautiful views but can be very busy during the summer months. Numerous paid parking spaces (blue lines) for short-term parkers are available in the city center. For longer stays or the duration of your cruise, guarded long-term parking lots are available near the ferry terminal, with fees averaging between 10 and 15 euros per day. Early booking is recommended, especially in high season. Please also note the seasonal limited traffic zones (ZTL) in the center from June to September.

The nearest train station is Orbetello-Monte Argentario, which is located on the important Pisa-Rome railroad line and offers good connections to Rome and Grosseto. From Orbetello-Monte Argentario station, which is about 12 to 14 kilometers from the port, you can easily reach the cruise terminal in Porto Santo Stefano by bus or taxi. The bus ride to the Valle stop in the center of Porto Santo Stefano takes about 21 minutes. A taxi for the route costs around 35 to 40 euros for up to four people.
