Wusterwitz, idyllically situated on the Wusterwitzer See and near the Elbe-Havel Canal, is a charming starting point for river cruises and offers a relaxed atmosphere for nature and water lovers. The "port" here is more of a picturesque pier that blends harmoniously into the landscape.
Car
The town of Wusterwitz is easy to reach thanks to good regional road connections and its proximity to major motorways such as the A2 and A10 (Berliner Ring). Parking is available directly at the Wusterwitzer See, some of which also permit overnight stays. In addition, the nearby "Camping am See" campsite, for example, offers further parking options for longer stays.
Train
Wusterwitz station is located directly on the important Berlin–Magdeburg railway line and offers direct connections in both directions at least hourly. From Berlin Hauptbahnhof you can reach Wusterwitz in around 30 minutes, and from Potsdam Hauptbahnhof in about 38 minutes. It is about 3.4 kilometers from the station to the pier at Wusterwitzer See, which you can easily cover by taxi or, with appropriate luggage, by local transport.
Airplane
The nearest airport is Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), which is located about an hour's drive from Wusterwitz. From BER, you can quickly reach Berlin Hauptbahnhof or Potsdam Hauptbahnhof by regional train and from there continue with a direct connection to Wusterwitz station. For a relaxed start to your river cruise, we recommend an overnight stay in one of the charming hotels or guesthouses in Wusterwitz on the day before embarkation for longer journeys from the DACH region.
