Car

For a convenient arrival by car, Schwedt is optimally connected to the German road network. From Berlin, you can reach the city directly via the A11 motorway; use the Joachimsthal exit, from which it is about 38 kilometers to Schwedt. From the north, arrival is possible via the A20 to the Uckermark interchange, from where the B166 federal road leads directly into the city. Additionally, the federal roads B2 and B166 pass through the urban area. In Schwedt, designated public parking spaces are available, which are easy to find via the city's guidance system.

Train

Traveling to Schwedt by train is relaxed thanks to good connections. The nearest long-distance railway station is Angermünde, from where you can regularly take regional trains (RB or RE) directly to Schwedt every hour. The "Schwedt (Oder) Mitte" station is conveniently located in the city, in close proximity to the Central Bus Station (ZOB), allowing for short distances to the river cruise terminal at the Bollwerk.

Airplane

For international guests or a longer journey, Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is the nearest international airport, located approximately 93 kilometers away. Alternatively, Solidarity Szczecin-Goleniów Airport (SZZ) in Poland is an option, situated about 72 kilometers from Schwedt. Various transfer options are available from both airports, including rental cars or train connections to Angermünde and onwards to Schwedt, ensuring a comfortable journey. Arriving a day early is always recommended to start your river cruise in a relaxed manner.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for your journey to the port accordingly and keep in mind that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is generally scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.

The same applies during the trip: for shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and the notices on board, as mooring and departure times can change at short notice.
