Cruise ships dock directly at the international passenger terminal "Putnički pristan Novi Sad," located immediately below the Varadin Bridge. Thanks to this prime location, visitors can reach the historic old town in just a few minutes on foot and immediately enjoy the vibrant life of this charming Serbian metropolis.
Novi Sad is easily accessible as Serbia's cultural center and a significant stop for Danube cruises thanks to its location on the Pan-European Transport Corridor X. The docking berths for river cruise ships are located directly on the picturesque Danube Quay in the heart of the city, allowing you to comfortably explore the historic center and the Petrovaradin Fortress on foot after embarkation.
Airplane
Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) is located about 80 kilometers south of Novi Sad and is the primary arrival point for travelers from the DACH region. Via the E75 motorway, you can reach the cruise port in a driving time of around 60 minutes, with numerous shuttle services, taxis, and private transfer providers available for a comfortable onward journey.
Train
Novi Sad is excellently connected to the rail network via the modern main station and benefits from the fast high-speed line to Belgrade. The Soko trains connect the capital with Novi Sad in less than 40 minutes, and from the station, you can reach the international passenger quay on the Danube in about 10 minutes by taxi or public bus.
Car
Thanks to the direct connection to the E75 motorway, which links Budapest with Belgrade, traveling with your own car from Germany, Austria, or Switzerland is straightforward. Various secure parking facilities and public parking zones can be found near the port and in the city center; additionally, some hotels near the port offer practical park-and-cruise options for the duration of your river cruise.
Check-in & Embarkation
Please note that you will generally receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port accordingly and consider that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.
The same applies during the trip: for shore excursions, you should be back on board at least one hour before departure. Always pay attention to the current announcements and notices on board, as docking and departure times may change at short notice.
