Arriving for passengers from the DACH region is pleasant thanks to good flight and rail connections as well as comfortable transfers. Due to the long flight time, arrival on the day before embarkation is recommended.

Airplane

The nearest airport is Matsuyama (MYJ), approximately 85.7 kilometers or around 1 hour and 6 minutes driving time from Uwajima. From there, you can easily reach JR Matsuyama Station by bus and continue with the Limited Express train to Uwajima, which takes a total of approximately 2 hours and 23 minutes. Alternatively, taxis are available to take you directly to the port in about 1 hour and 6 minutes.

Rail

The central station for arrival is JR Uwajima Station. From Matsuyama, you can reach Uwajima with the Limited Express trains of the JR Yosan Line in around 80 minutes, with hourly connections. From JR Uwajima Station, the harbor is reachable on foot in about 35 minutes, or you can use a taxi for a short ride to the terminal.

The historical Uwajima Castle is one of only twelve original castles remaining in Japan and is easily accessible from the port in about fifteen minutes on foot or in a few minutes by taxi. Taxis wait for passengers at Uwajima Station as well as in front of major hotels like the Uwajima Oriental Hotel and will take you quickly to Oura Pier. Shuttle Bus
