Uwajima, an idyllic harbor on Japan's island of Shikoku, welcomes cruise guests at Sakashizu No.2 Wharf. Arriving for passengers from the DACH region is pleasant thanks to good flight and rail connections as well as comfortable transfers. Due to the long flight time, arrival on the day before embarkation is recommended.
Airplane
The nearest airport is Matsuyama (MYJ), approximately 85.7 kilometers or around 1 hour and 6 minutes driving time from Uwajima. From there, you can easily reach JR Matsuyama Station by bus and continue with the Limited Express train to Uwajima, which takes a total of approximately 2 hours and 23 minutes. Alternatively, taxis are available to take you directly to the port in about 1 hour and 6 minutes.
Rail
The central station for arrival is JR Uwajima Station. From Matsuyama, you can reach Uwajima with the Limited Express trains of the JR Yosan Line in around 80 minutes, with hourly connections. From JR Uwajima Station, the harbor is reachable on foot in about 35 minutes, or you can use a taxi for a short ride to the terminal.
