The Port of Kobe is one of Japan's most important cruise ports and impresses with its excellent location in Osaka Bay as well as the modern infrastructure of the Kobe Port Terminal and the Naka Pier Cruise Terminal. Thanks to first-class transport links, guests can reach their ship comfortably and directly via various international transport hubs.

Airplane

Kansai International Airport (KIX) serves as the most important hub for travelers from the DACH region and is served with comfortable connecting flights from Frankfurt, Munich, and Zurich. From the airport, you can reach Sannomiya Station directly in about 70 minutes by Airport Limousine Bus or use the Bay Shuttle, a high-speed ferry that connects the airport terminal with Kobe Airport (UKB) in just 30 minutes.

Train

Travelers already on their way in Japan use the Shinkansen high-speed train to Shin-Kobe Station, which is only about 15 minutes by taxi from the cruise terminal. In addition, the fully automated Port Liner train runs from the central hub of Sannomiya to the Port Terminal stop in less than 10 minutes, which is located directly in the embarkation building and provides barrier-free access to the ship.

Pre-Cruise Hotel

Due to the long flight duration and the time difference from Europe, we recommend arriving at least one day before embarkation in combination with a hotel stay in the Sannomiya district or at Meriken Park. Many first-class hotels are located directly on the waterfront within walking distance of the Naka Pier Cruise Terminal and offer an ideal starting point to get to know the famous Kobe Port Tower and the culinary highlights of the city before the start of the cruise.

Check-in & Embarkation

Please note that you will usually receive a fixed time slot for check-in with your travel documents, which is binding for your embarkation. Plan sufficient time for the journey to the port accordingly and take into account that the latest embarkation time - depending on the cruise line and destination - is usually scheduled about one hour before the planned departure.
