Atmosphere on board the VIVA Tiara

On VIVA Cruises’ ships, you’ll enjoy an international yet friendly atmosphere, thanks to the small number of passengers and the multilingual staff on board. The comfortable décor reinforces this impression, making you feel as though you’re staying in a good hotel on land.

Passengers often include couples or solo travellers, who are on average slightly younger than is typical for river cruises.

VIVA Tiara restaurants

This river cruise ship has a total of two restaurants and a bar. All food and drinks are included in the price of the cruise.

The main restaurant, RIVERSIDE, is open for all three main meals. In the morning, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast here from the varied buffet. Multi-course menus are served for lunch and dinner. The quality is excellent, and great importance is placed on using regional products.

In the evening, the VIVA’s Bistro restaurant is also open as an alternative. As the bistro is very popular, a free reservation is recommended depending on demand and the ship’s occupancy. In the entrance area of VIVA’s Bistro, you also have access to the water and coffee station at all times. Here, for example, you can refill your reusable water bottle, which every guest receives in their cabin at the start of the trip.

The Panorama Salon with its bar is like a living room on board. This is where passengers like to gather, chat, play games or watch the scenery through the large panoramic windows. Evening entertainment also takes place in the Panorama Lounge.

On the sun deck, you can find peace and relaxation on the sun loungers and in the hot tub. If you like, you can also play a game of chess in the fresh air.

For even more relaxation, there is a wellness area on the Smaragd Deck with a sauna and a steam bath.

For an active shore excursion, you can hire bicycles on board free of charge.

Our summary

Although the VIVA Tiara is an older ship, it is in good condition thanks to the refurbishment. The bright, modern décor is very appealing, and the public areas offer a good variety.
