The VistaGrace was built in 2001 and combines stylish comfort with a unique travel concept: river cruises with your dog. On board, you’ll find a spacious panoramic lounge, an elegant bar, and a restaurant serving international cuisine, all offering a magnificent view of the passing landscape thanks to large panoramic windows. A small onboard shop, a fitness and massage room, a small pool, and a partially covered sun deck with lounge chairs round out the amenities.
Dogs are warmly welcome on board and are greeted with dog pillows, a cozy blanket, water and food bowls, and a small welcome gift. The sun deck features dog pools and a well-maintained dog run. Accompanying dog trainers offer free training sessions and valuable tips. Thanks to specially tailored routes with short travel times, regular shore excursions, and overnight stays in port, you and your four-legged friend can relax and discover Europe’s ever-changing landscape - without having to pack a suitcase.

VistaGrace sustainability
On board the VistaGrace, too, care is taken to use resources responsibly. A mindful use of water and energy, together with efficient processes, help to reduce the environmental impact of river cruising.
This approach is also reflected in the new vessel, the VistaQueen, which will join the 1AVista fleet in 2028. Equipped with state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly technology and a contemporary interior, the ship sets new standards for comfortable and more sustainable river cruising.
VistaGrace staterooms
The VistaGrace has a total of 72 comfortable staterooms, including four spacious suites. The staterooms on the main, middle and upper decks are each approx. 15 sqm in size and are equipped with a shower/WC, telephone, safe, hairdryer, television and air conditioning. On the main deck, the staterooms have upper windows that cannot be opened. The forward staterooms on the middle deck have round portholes, some of which can be opened, whilst the remaining staterooms on the middle and upper decks are fitted with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows (French balconies). The spacious suites, measuring approx. 22 sqm, offer even more space and comfort.
Atmosphere onboard the VistaGrace
On board the VistaGrace, you can expect a stylish and cosy ambience that combines elegance with a personal, relaxed atmosphere. Warm colours, cosy lounges and the large panoramic windows create plenty of space to relax and invite you to take in the passing river scenery at your leisure. Four-legged guests are also very welcome: dogs are a natural part of life on board and can enjoy the relaxed atmosphere alongside their owners.
VistaGrace restaurants, bars & lounges
The VistaGrace offers a variety of dining and social areas that invite you to relax and enjoy yourself.
The following restaurants are included in the price:
- Restaurant on the upper deck: In this stylish restaurant, varied multi-course menus featuring fine European cuisine are served as part of the 1AVista ALL INCLUSIVE package. Vegetarian dishes are also available.
In the afternoon, coffee, tea and cake invite you to linger, whilst a late-night snack rounds off the day.
For a cosy evening, the Panorama Lounge with bar provides the perfect setting to reflect on the day over a drink. A wide range of drinks, including house wine, draught beer, soft drinks, juices, mineral water, coffee and tea, are included from 8.00 am to midnight.
VistaGrace entertainment, sports and wellness
Onboard the VistaGrace, you can look forward to a relaxed holiday atmosphere with a varied programme of entertainment and plenty of opportunities to unwind. Quiz nights, dance evenings with live music and the experienced 1AVista cruise team ensure you’ll have a wonderful time on board. Those who wish to stay active can make use of the fitness room, whilst the massage room and the small pool invite you to unwind. On the spacious, partly covered sun deck with comfortable sun loungers, you can enjoy the passing scenery. Your four-legged friends are also well catered for: a dog run and accompanying dog training sessions make this a particularly dog-friendly experience.
VistaGrace shore excursions
Shore excursions are also a particular highlight for travellers with dogs. The journey times between stops are deliberately kept short – up to around six hours – so that regular shore excursions provide ample opportunity for long walks along the riverbank and joint exploration tours.
The organised excursions are run by local agencies and arranged by the 1AVista cruise management team. Individual excursions can be conveniently booked and paid for on board. A mobile audio guide system is available for many of the excursions. Those who prefer to explore independently will be happy to receive tips on board for private shore excursions. Local guides are also happy to advise on suitable accommodation options for those with reduced mobility.
For river cruises departing from Passau and Cologne, you can save money with an excursion package. This can only be booked in advance by quoting your booking reference and cannot be booked on board during the cruise.
