The Amadeus fleet has been awarded the ‘Green Award’ in recognition of its high standards in the areas of the environment, safety and quality. Wherever possible, Amadeus Cruises’ ships are connected to the local power grid via Powerlock and supplied with electricity whilst in port. State-of-the-art engines and software ensure that fuel consumption is kept to a minimum, enabling the ships to operate with maximum efficiency. The Amadeus Douro is equipped with a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system, a high-performance battery and an efficient heat recovery system, resulting in cleaner and more environmentally friendly energy consumption.

The Amadeus Douro can accommodate up to 111 passengers in 54 cabins and 2 suites. Most cabins feature the ship’s signature panoramic windows or private balconies.

You can expect a blend of modern yet timeless elegance combined with a relaxed, informal atmosphere. At the bow of the ship is the open-air lounge ‘River Terrace’, which, thanks to its unique glazing design, offers a wonderful view of the passing landscape even in wind and weather.
