- There are two things I would like to comment on:
1) We bought online drink packages. When onboard some waiters at bar accepted them and others were not, saying they were only valid for the restaurants. When we told them that other waiters accepted them, they asked the barman and said it was fine to accept them. I dont understand why they dont all have the same information.
2) When we arrived at the ship, we have been told that everything bought will be charged on our cabin card. No cash will be used or credit cards. When we bought some items from the boutiques onboard and the same night went to a bar and ordered drinks with prepaid vouchers, we were told that our cabin card was suspended and we should visit the accounting office. Very humiliating and embarassing. We left the bar, went to the accounting office to see and they needed our credit cards details to charge/reserve the amount already spent and afterwards to be able to use our card again. I havent asked them to charge my cabin card for my purchases. I was able to pay my purchase with my credit card. Why didnt they ask from the beginning the details of my credit card and have them for the any spendings/charges on board. I consider next time when I visit an MSC Ship, not to buy things onboard. And really to suspend the cabin card for an already paid drink voucher? And not a message to be send to our cabin in advance?
