- We cruised on the MSC Fantasia in January 2012 from Barcelona – Tenerife – Madeira – Civitavecchia – Genoa – Barcelona.
  The ship itself was wonderful - triumph of imaginative design, comfort and, especially extraordinary interior design and colour co-ordination.
  Perhaps understandably, the vast majority of the passengers were Italians. Hence, the food, entertainment and onboard music was – for non-Italians – excessively Italian in focus.
  The food in the casual Zanzibar Restaurant was very repetitive. And I never again want to hear “Funiculi, Funicula” or “Volare” played anywhere!
  The facilities in general were first class and the service standards were of an equal standard.
  Would we cruise with MSC again? No. The dominant Italian themes would put us off.
