  • The service at the bars was slow at times (the bar next to the swarovski stairs on Deck 6 and Bar on Deck 8 outside). Even during not so busy times, I once waited for 10 minutes for a hot chocolate and an espresso, and once more than 15 minutes waiting to order my drinks where I simply gave up and left.
    I think certain staff should be more trained.

  • re Excursions we were disappointed that our booked excursion to Tarqunia was cancelled and we were not notified. We got to know this at 8.30pm when my husband did not find the excursion tickets in the cabin and went to enquire at the excursions desk, and told him that the tour was cancelled. No letters were left to inform us, and we were given only will 10pm to see if we wanted to book another tour, which for us was a bit late in the day.
    We booked the Palermo tour, the one which included the arancini and Cannoli tasting of 4.5 hrs long. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the tour guide as he was continuously complaining about the Italian government, and we had no real free time for wondering about or shopping. We left late from the ship, but by 1.30pm we were already back at the cruise port terminal, when it should have finished at 2pm. Vera disappointing tour.
