        We’ve been travelling with MSC before and it was almost always a good experience. After being unable to travel for almost 2 years due to COVID, we were really looking forward to cruise again this year. After arriving to the port in Genoa, the ship looked magnificent, the embarkation was smooth as expected and our stateroom was fabulous. To our experience, the food quality got much better from our previous cruises and breakfast restaurants were not as crowded as before. So the whole experience would be great if there weren’t constant changes to te foreseen itinerary. We were constantly arriving later and leaving earlier than promised , so they constantly shortened our time ashore, but in Marseille, they only made a technical stop and wouldn’t let us leave the ship at all. That was really disappointing because we arranged a meeting with some friends who live there. We received no explanation and of course no apologies whatsoever. We started following the ship’s speed and it never exceeded 14 and something knots, and at that speed it was completely impossible to follow the itinerary. We suspect there was a technical issue with the ship the whole time, they just didn’t frwant to let us know. Thle least MSC could do is apologise to the passangers, offer some explanation and we also expect some compensation because the trip we paid for isn’t what we actually got.
