Playa Dorada

Playa Dorada is easily accessible from the terminals by taxi in about twenty minutes and, as the region's "Golden Coast," offers a vast, fine sandy beach with first-class tourist infrastructure. Thanks to its location within a protected area, you can enjoy a well-maintained atmosphere here as well as access to excellent beach clubs offering comfortable loungers and refreshing cocktails directly by the sea. The beach is ideal for a relaxing day under palm trees and also impresses with its calm, shallow waters, which are perfect for a relaxed dip in the Atlantic. It is best to start your excursion directly after the ship's arrival in the morning to secure a preferred spot, and return to the port relaxed at least ninety minutes before departure.

Returning to the ship

The way back to the ship in Puerto Plata is excellently organized and offers you convenient options for a punctual return, depending on your docking location—Amber Cove or Taino Bay.

Taxi and Private Transfers

Taxis are available at all times at central locations such as Plaza Independencia (Parque Central), at the Malecon, and in front of the major resorts at Playa Dorada.
