Treis-Karden is optimally connected via the B49 and B416 federal roads. Fast arrival is also possible via the A48 (Kaifenheim exit) and A61 (Boppard exit) motorways. Parking facilities for travelers are available directly at Treis-Karden station (St.-Castor-Straße 96) via DB BahnPark GmbH, complemented by other public parking spaces in the town, for example near the Moselle or the campsite.

Train

Treis-Karden station in the Karden district is a central hub on the Moselle line. Regional-Express (RE) and Regionalbahn (RB) trains run here, providing a direct connection between Trier and Koblenz. From the station, thanks to the central location and the adjacent riverside promenade, you can quickly and easily reach the ship piers on foot. The tourist information office in the station building will be happy to assist you with any orientation questions.

Airplane

The nearest airport is Frankfurt-Hahn (HHN), approximately 25 kilometers away, allowing for a short onward journey. Alternatively, Köln/Bonn Airport (CGN) at around 79 kilometers and Frankfurt/Main Airport (FRA) at about 91 kilometers away are good options. Flexible transfer options by taxi, bus, or private airport transfer are available from all airports. For longer flights, we recommend arriving the day before to start your cruise well-rested.

Stiftskirche St. Castor

The majestic Stiftskirche St. Castor, also known as the "Moseldom," is located just a few minutes' walk from the ship's pier and impresses with its striking towers and a history spanning over a thousand years. The historic center of Karden invites you to a relaxing stroll with its winding alleys and half-timbered houses, while cozy cafes and regional wineries in the immediate vicinity of the church invite you to taste local Rieslings. Ideally, visit the imposing basilica in the morning to enjoy the special atmosphere in the nave in peace, and plan a short stay in one of the welcoming wine taverns afterwards before returning comfortably to the ship.

Returning to the ship

The way back to your mooring on the Moselle is safe and easy to manage thanks to the town's compact size and the central location of the ship piers.

On Foot

Since the piers are centrally located on Moselleallee in the Treis district or on the opposite bank in Karden, you can easily reach your ship on foot through the charming streets. The widely visible St. Castor Basilica serves as an ideal landmark and leads you directly back to the waterfront and your ship.

Train and Regional Buses

The Treis-Karden railway station in the Karden district is located just a few minutes' walk from the piers and offers a reliable connection for returnees from Cochem or Koblenz thanks to the regional train line RB 81. In addition, the tourist information office is located directly inside the station building, which will help you find your way and guarantees short distances to the ship.

Taxi

For a comfortable return journey from destinations in the surrounding area, local providers such as Taxi Leister on St. Castorstraße or Taxi-Reuter are available.
