The tour operator and cruise provider Phoenix Reisen was founded in 1973 and is specialized in high-quality river and ocean cruises. The portfolio includes not only classic river trips, e.g. on the Danube, the Rhine and the Volga, but also exotic routes such as cruises in South America, the Orient or the South Seas. Due to the small ship sizes with capacities of 150 to 1200 passengers, there is a family atmosphere on board. During the cruise you can enjoy high-quality dishes, from the maritime fish buffet to grilled specialties to desserts and cakes. All staterooms on the Asara are comfortable and elegantly furnished outside staterooms with a size of between 12 and 17 sqm, depending on the category. The staterooms on the Orion and Saturn decks have a French balcony. Only the staterooms on the Neptune deck have small windows that cannot be opened. All staterooms are equipped with shower/WC, an individually adjustable air conditioning, a TV, radio, minibar, safe, telephone and a daily newspaper. 

As on all Phoenix ships, the atmosphere on board the Asara is cosy and informal. The modern rooms are flooded with light and nicely furnished and provide the right feel-good factor as soon as you enter the ship for the first time. The dress code on board is casual. At the traditional captain's dinner a more elegant wardrobe is expected, but evening wear is not needed here either. Regional events, live music and light entertainment will make your cruise on Asara a relaxing treat. 

There are two different restaurants on board MS Asara for your culinary pleasure. The open table time ensures that you can organize your day more flexibly.

The following restaurants are already included in the price:

• Vier Jahreszeiten (main restaurant): Enjoy beautiful views through the restaurant's panoramic windows while you eat delicious food.
• Specialty Restaurant: In this elegant restaurant at the stern of the Orion Deck, you will be served a variety of culinary highlights.

In addition to the restaurants, there is also a Panorama-Lounge (not included) on board . Meet fellow passengers here and enjoy your favorite drink.

A selection of board and card games is available on board. There is also a lot on offer for those who just want to relax: A large sundeck with a small pool, deck chairs, seating areas and shade areas as well as a terrace on the bow invite you to linger.

Through a variety of shore excursions, you have the opportunity to get to know the country and its people along the route. The excursion program is adapted to the length of stay of the ship and is accompanied by qualified tour guides. The excursions are usually in German language. The shore excursions can be booked directly on board or partly in advance online at the shipping company.
