In addition to the MSC World Europe and the MSC World America, the third ship in the MSC World class is now following. The MSC World Asia, which is expected to set sail in 2026, will be inspired by the Asian continent, which will be reflected not only in the name, but also in the design and the on-board experiences.
About MSC Cruises
Welcome aboard MSC Cruises! The cruise line was founded in 1988 and is part of the MSC Group, which also includes, among others, the container shipping company MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (founded in 1970) and the luxury cruise line Explora Journeys. MSC Cruises is the world's largest privately family-owned cruise line (Aponte family) and has many years of expertise on the seven seas. The Aponte family has also established an independent charitable organisation, the MSC Foundation, which is also present on board and supports many humanitarian and environmental projects.
MSC Cruises offers its guests a Mediterranean and modern lifestyle at a good price-performance ratio. Guests of all ages feel at home on the sometimes colourful, sometimes understated ships. MSC World Asia Sustainability
MSC World Asia will be the fourth ship in the MSC Cruises fleet to be powered by LNG. Like all other new MSC Cruises ships, MSC World Asia will also be equipped with shore power connections as standard, allowing the ship's engines to be switched off in port when shore power is available. Smart technologies throughout the ship will ensure that guests can travel in comfort while keeping energy and water consumption low. A robust onboard recycling program minimizes waste, and even the ship's propulsion systems are designed to be quiet and not disturb marine life.
MSC World Asia staterooms
On board the MSC World Asia, you’ll find a wide selection of modern and comfortable cabins, with more than 20 different cabin categories to choose from. The interior and oceanview staterooms offer an area of approx. 10 to 20 sqm, while the balcony staterooms offer a little more space at around 16 to 17 sqm and have their own balcony with ocean or promenade views.
For those who value extra comfort, there are various suite categories available – combining stylish design with unparalleled ocean views. Sizes range from the Junior Suite at around 20 sqm to the Premium Suite at around 25–27 sqm and the spacious Grand Suite at around 35 sqm.
In the exclusive MSC Yacht Club area, the interior suites are approx. 15 sqm, while the Deluxe Suites are approx. 25 sqm. The Royal Suite (approx. 51–58 sqm) and the 78–104 sqm Owner's Suite offer the highest level of comfort – both with elegant furnishings, their own whirlpool and a spacious balcony of around 42–65 sqm. Particularly impressive is the two-storey Royal Maisonette Suite, measuring approx. 46 sqm, which has two bedrooms, a spacious living area, two marble bathrooms and a private whirlpool on the balcony.
Atmosphere on board the MSC World Asia
The MSC World Asia is the third ship in the World Class series and reflects the rich culture, art and landscape of Asia. She has seven different themed areas, each with its own atmosphere, offerings and experiences. The centerpiece of the ship is the World Promenade, featuring an impressive floating dragon sculpture: in this open and lively area at the heart of the ship you will find breathtaking sea views, culinary experiences, lounges and entertainment.
MSC World Asia Restaurants, bars & lounges
The culinary offerings on board the MSC World Asia include numerous restaurants where every guest can find something to suit their taste. You can expect a wide variety of cuisine, ranging from traditional to modern dishes.
The following restaurants are included in the price:
- Il Mercato (buffet restaurant): Here you can enjoy a wide variety of hot and cold buffet dishes as well as Mediterranean delicacies.
- La Brasserie (buffet restaurant): Look forward to international delicacies.
- Esagono/Hexagon Restaurant (main restaurant): Enjoy freshly prepared dishes in an elegant atmosphere.
- Bubbles Restaurant (main restaurant): Enjoy fine dining in this à la carte restaurant.
- La Foglia (main restaurant): The largest restaurant offers international dishes.
The Les Dunes restaurant is exclusively for Aurea guests and offers exquisite cuisine. Guests in the MSC Yacht Club also have access to an exclusive restaurant with gourmet creations and five-star service.

- Hola! Tacos & Cantina: Try Latin American and Mexican dishes such as tacos, nachos and empanadas.
- Kaito Teppanyaki: Watch Japanese delicacies being prepared at the cooking stations.
- Kaito Sushi Bar: Sample Japanese specialities such as exquisite sushi or soup.
- Butcher's Cut: Enjoy high-quality Angus beef, for example, in the steakhouse.
- La Pescaderia: The Mediterranean restaurant offers a variety of fish dishes made with fresh ingredients.
- Chef's Garden Kitchen: Try healthy, seasonal and delicious dishes.
- Pizza & Burger: Order delicious pizza and much more from the pizza bakers and grill experts.
You can also look forward to the new Pan-Asian street food restaurant, featuring Southeast Asian cuisine, with a section dedicated as a specialty restaurant, as well as delicious street food snacks to go and its own bar. In addition to the restaurants, there are also numerous bars and lounges (not included). In the elegant Coffee Emporium coffee house, for example, you can choose from some of the best coffee beans in the world and determine your preferred brewing and serving style. Enjoy an aperitif in the Dolce Vita Bar or try the MSC Signature beer in the British pub Masters of the Seas, which is brewed in a microbrewery on board.
MSC World Asia Entertainment, sports and wellness
There’s something for everyone on board the MSC World Asia! Look forward to the new area, The Clubhouse: this lively, retro-style meeting place offers families plenty of fun together with board games, the LEGO Family Zone, bumper cars, basketball and roller skating.
Another highlight on board the MSC World Asia is The Harbour. This innovative outdoor park is perfect for spending quality family time together. Experience the thrill of the Cliffhanger – an exciting above-water swing suspended 50 metres above the sea. Or whizz down the longest dry slide at sea, measuring 81.3 metres – the Tree of Life @The Spiral Dry Slide. Test your balance on the high ropes course, which covers approximately 577 square metres and features two Sky Rails. At Harbour Aquapark, you’ll find a vertical free-fall slide, a water tyre slide and slides for two-person races, amongst other attractions.
Treat yourself to a snack to go at The Harbour Bar & Bites. The outdoor area, The Play Deck, offers a space for children of all ages so that families can play together. During the day, the Luna Park Arena offers an exciting entertainment programme for teenagers; in the evening, it transforms into a central party venue.
The World Promenade and the covered World Galleria combine shopping, dining and entertainment in a modern setting. Alongside boutiques with sea views and a variety of pop-up concepts, guests can look forward to a selection of luxury perfumes from renowned brands, such as Chanel, as well as jewellery and watches from Swarovski, TimeVallée and OMEGA. In addition, the Venchi Chocolate Experience – the largest Venchi boutique on the MSC fleet – awaits you on board. Combining a chocolate boutique, café and gelateria, it offers Italian specialities, freshly made gelato and creative experiences such as making your own chocolate bars in the ‘Chocolate Lab’.
In total, the ship features seven pools and 13 hot tubs. There are two newly designed pools in the Aqua Deck District: the outdoor Manila Bay pool and the indoor Coral Cove pool. Thanks to the retractable glass roof, you can relax in the Coral Cove pool whatever the weather, whilst the Manila Bay pool is perfect for making the most of the good weather.
You can find relaxation in the Adults Only Zen Pool at the rear of the ship and in the Aurea Spa. For those who wish to stay active whilst on holiday, the modern, state-of-the-art gym powered by Technogym is the perfect choice. Furthermore, you’ll find round-the-clock entertainment with fantastic stage shows, live music, interactive programmes and more.
MSC World Asia children
There is plenty to discover on board for children of all ages: Thrill seekers can try the impressive dry slide "Tree of Life @The Spiral Dry Slide". In the aqua park, pool areas and several slides await for plenty of fun. In the LEGO play area, children have the opportunity to build great things every day.
Childcare is also provided: babies and toddlers aged between six months and two years are looked after by certified staff in the Baby Club, which was created in collaboration with the leading children's brand Chicco. Toddlers aged three to six play in the MSC Mini Club and the Junior Club looks after children aged seven to eleven. MSC's experienced entertainers look after the children with various games and many sporting activities. During the day, 12 to 14-year-olds in the Young Club and 15 to 17-year-olds in the Teens Club can enjoy clubs equipped with the latest consoles, games and VR technology, a teen disco and a dinner organised exclusively for teenagers.

As a new ship in the MSC World class, the MSC World Asia offers a huge variety as well as a varied and colorful everyday life on board. This makes the ship perfect for all those in search of action and entertainment, but relaxation lovers will also get their money's worth here.
Tipps & Infos
Confirmation of stateroom numbers: Stateroom numbers are always confirmed by MSC Cruises under reserve, the cruise line reserves the right to change the stateroom after the booking.
MSC Voyages Club member numbers or vouchers: Please inform us about these within your reservation. The MSC Voyages Club member number has to be entered directly while booking in order to benefit from the club discount - if applicable for this cruise and rate - in order get it applied to the reservation.
Additional charges for cruise passengers: Some ports of call levy a separate charge for cruise passengers to support local infrastructure and promote sustainable tourism, amongst other things. MSC Cruises passes on these additional costs and charges them to your on-board account on the night following the port call. This currently applies to:
- Iceland destination fee: Mandatory for all passengers, approx. 11 € per day/person
- Greece destination fee: For all shore-goers; fee varies depending on port of call and season (approx. 1-20 € per person/port)
- Entry/exit fee for La Romana, Dominican Republic: 10 $ per person entry fee (Tarjeta de Turista) for all passengers who are going ashore, 20 $ per person exit fee for all passengers boarding. Travelers arriving by plane pay the fees twice (1. First entry by plane: 10 $ per person, 2. First departure upon the ship’s departure: 20 $ per person, 3. Second entry by ship: 10 $ per person, 4. Second departure by plane: 20 $ per person). For passengers with flights booked through MSC Cruises, the fees for the first entry and second departure are included in the airfare.
Recommendation: Changes of the hygiene, test, vaccination or entry requirements may occur shortly prior departure. We recommend to check the current regulations for travelers and returnees in time prior departure.
Required travel documents by MSC Cruises: Every passenger has to have a valid passport whose validity is still given 6 months after the trip. For all cruises that only call ports in the EU including Norway and Iceland, German citizens only require identity card or children up to the age of 14 a children's passport or ePassport; these documents need a validity of 6 months after the trip.
