Since 2014, the Costa Crociere Foundation has been coordinating all of Costa Cruises' social and environmental initiatives. Through 32 projects, the foundation has already reached over 185,000 people in more than 130 countries. Its work ranges from educational programmes and environmental protection measures to social aid programmes implemented both in port cities and beyond. The foundation ensures that 100% of donations go directly to projects dedicated to current social and environmental challenges. With its new interactive educational project, ‘Guardians of the Sea,’ the cruise line continues to promote sustainability and environmental education. The playful and entertaining way in which children and teenagers between the ages of 6 and 17 are made aware of the importance of protecting the oceans plays a key role here. Through engaging activities, participants learn about sustainable behaviour and how to protect the oceans. In total there are 1862 staterooms. 130 staterooms have a direct access to the Samsara Spa and 756 staterooms have an own balcony. The interior staterooms have a size of 14 sqm, the oceanview staterooms of 15-17 sqm and the balcony staterooms of 17 sqm. The size of the suites differs between 20-41 sqm. All staterooms give a spacious and comfortable impression.

The atmosphere on board of Costa Diadema is very international with a special focus on the Italian way of life. Many passengers and crew members speak English. The dress code is casual and informal. On a few days in the main restaurant there are Gala evenings for which a more elegant clothing is suitable. The ship is very family friendly and a lot of children and teenagers are happy about the special entertainment programme.

In the various lounges and bars (not included) like the Grand Bar Orlov or the La Piazza Bar, you can use your drinks packages, enjoy drinks and make new contacts.

On board of Costa Diadema there are high-tech video games, shows in the theatre and special events. The Emerald theatre is located on three decks and exclusive shows with singers, dancers and acrobats are shown there. In the Country Rock Club the video arcade of Costa Diadema guest can find an area with video games, laser shootings. Thanks to the glass roof which covers the pool deck the swimming pool can be used in bad weather conditions as well. For the children there is a seperate pool and playing area.
