Welcome aboard MSC Cruises! The cruise line was founded in 1988 and is part of the MSC Group, which also includes, among others, the container shipping company MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company (founded in 1970) and the luxury cruise line Explora Journeys. MSC Cruises is the world's largest privately family-owned cruise line (Aponte family) and has many years of expertise on the seven seas. The Aponte family has also established an independent charitable organisation, the MSC Foundation, which is also present on board and supports many humanitarian and environmental projects.

MSC Cruises offers its guests a Mediterranean and modern lifestyle at a good price-performance ratio. Guests of all ages feel at home on the sometimes colourful, sometimes understated ships. The ships are also well received on the German market and the number of German guests is growing steadily. A knowledge of English is recommended, although some services are also offered in German.

With the MSC Yacht Club, the ‘ship-within-a-ship concept’, MSC Cruises offers an exclusive area on selected ships with luxurious suites, its own restaurant with five-star service and other amenities.

MSC Cruises has set itself the long-term goal of achieving zero emissions in all its operations. In order to already avoid as many emissions as possible, the MSC Poesia has been equipped with a shore power connection and can therefore be connected to a shore power system in all ports.

The staterooms are modern and comfortable, equipped with a bathroom with shower, TV, telephone, minibar, and safe.

Standard interior staterooms are approximately 14 sqm in size, exterior staterooms are approximately 16–17 sqm, and balcony staterooms measure approximately 15–18 squm.

In April 2026, the popular MSC Yacht Club with 69 suites made its debut on MSC Poesia: Look forward to an expanded selection of cabin options and choose between MSC Yacht Club interior staterooms (approx. 20 sqm) and larger suites starting at approx. 24 sqm with a balcony. The Deluxe Suites, Royal Suites, Grand Suites, and Executive & Family Suites offer, in addition to MSC Yacht Club amenities, plenty of space for your dream vacation and private retreats.

On board the MSC Poesia, it's like landing in a modern and well-kept holiday hotel: good food, a wide range of sports, comfortable staterooms and many entertainment options. Even at this relaxed and casual atmosphere, festive attire is recommended two nights a week in the main restaurants. Guests who like it even more casual can visit the buffet restaurant at this evenings where no dress code is expected.

The cuisine on the MSC Poesia is good and tasty, offering variety and fresh dishes so that every guest on board can find something to suit them. Drinks are available for an extra charge or you can take advantage of a drinks package.

• Villa Pompeiana & L'Obelisco (buffet restaurant): The restaurants await you with a variety of dishes from the hot and cold buffet and impress with their Mediterranean diversity.

• Butcher's Cut: At this American-style steakhouse, you can look forward to first-class meat specialties, including beef from Meat by Linz and a large selection of juicy steaks with classic side dishes.

Enjoy fine wines or classic cocktails in one of the numerous bars and lounges (not included), for example in the Giada Bar or in the Pigalle Lounge, where you can also look forward to live music.

• All-Stars Sports Bar: This sports bar serves snacks while you compete against each other in typical sports bar games or sit back with a drink and enjoy the lively atmosphere around you.
• Top Sail Lounge: Exclusively for MSC Yacht Club guests
• Private sun deck with grill & bar: Exclusively for MSC Yacht Club guests, with two whirlpools, chic cabanas, sun loungers, and casual outdoor dining

There are many ways to spend your vacation days on board. The pool areas and various events, such as dance competitions at the DOREMIX Family Disco, offer fun for the whole family, while the open-air cinema attracts guests in the evenings with great movies.

For sporty guests, the wide range of sports and fitness activities leaves nothing to be desired: the MSC Gym with Technogym equipment and a tennis and basketball cour (Sport Center) are at your disposal. If you're looking for peace and relaxation, you'll find exactly what you're looking for at the MSC Aurea Spa, which features a steam room, salt cave, Kneipp therapy facilities, saunas, and massages.

The large “Carlo Felice” theater invites you to enjoy great shows, themed parties such as the White Party or Golden Party take place, and you can try your luck at the Casino Royal.

Childcare is also provided for your children: babies and toddlers between six months and two years are looked after by certified staff in the Baby Club, which was created in collaboration with the leading children's brand Chicco®. Toddlers aged three to six play in the MSC Mini Club and the Junior Club looks after children aged seven to eleven. MSC's experienced entertainers look after the children with various games and many sporting activities. During the day, 12 to 14-year-olds in the Young Club and 15 to 17-year-olds in the Teens Club can enjoy clubs equipped with the latest consoles, games and VR technology, a teen disco and a dinner organised exclusively for teenagers.
