The Legend of the Seas is powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG) and is equipped with a shore power connection, which reduces emissions. It also has a heat recovery system that allows the waste heat from the engine to be reused.

The inside staterooms range in size from approx. 14.4 to 17.3 sqm, while the outside staterooms are around 14.8-23.9 sqm in size and the balcony staterooms range in size between approx. 18.2-26.4 sqm with a balcony of around 4.6-6.5 sqm. Depending on the staterooms category, the balcony staterooms offer a sea view, Central Park view or Surfside view. There are also numerous junior suites and suites on board, which range in size from approx. 24.9 sqm to 137.6 sqm, depending on the category.
