Hapag-Lloyd Cruises stands for luxury on small ships. On board all ships, you can expect individual experiences, first-class service, and sophisticated programs on the ship and ashore. In addition to the Europa and Europa 2, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises has three expedition ships: Hanseatic inspiration, Hanseatic nature, and Hanseatic spirit. Since July 2020, the ships in the fleet have been using only low-sulfur marine gas oil and no longer heavy fuel oil. This reduces emissions by 80% and results in up to 30% less particulate matter and soot particles.

Since July 2020 all ships of the fleet have been fueled by the low-sulfured marine gas oil (MGO) instead of heavy oil. This causes 80 % less emissions and 30 % less fine dust and particualte emissions.

During the last refurbishment in 2024, a multi-stage wastewater treatment system was installed on the Europa and investments were made in air conditioning technology to increase energy efficiency. In addition, more than 130 sofas, 250 armchairs and 50 chairs were donated to the organisation ‘Der Hafen hilft!’, and the crew also handed over over 1,000 pillows and 600 duvets.

The 204 suites not only offer luxury, but also a unique view of the sea, as all staterooms have an ocean view and most also have a balcony. The sizes of the suites range from the approx. 27 sqm suites, veranda suites and spa suites to the approx. 45 sqm Penthouse Deluxe Suite and the Penthouse Grand Suite with a size of approx. 85 sqm. Renovated in 2024, the suites are furnished with light beige carpets, elegant furniture and warm coral tones. Champagne and a fruit basket await you in your stateroom as a welcome gift. In the penthouse suites you also benefit from a butler service.

Feeling good at the highest level - that's the Europa maxim. During the day, sporty and elegant clothing is the right choice. Comfortable clothing is also recommended for the individually organised excursions. In the evening, you can enjoy exquisite and unusual menus or relax in the Sansibar with its open-air area. Festive and elegant attire is recommended here.

The restaurants and cafés on board the Europa offer a wide variety of culinary delights of impressive quality. There is something for every taste.

• EUROPA Restaurant (main restaurant): Look forward to diverse, international dishes for lunch and dinner (à la carte) and a varied breakfast buffet (with a gourmet breakfast menu on sea days).
• Lido Café (buffet restaurant): A variety of dishes from the hot and cold buffet await you here for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
• Venezia: Enjoy Italian specialities, e.g. pasta, freshly caught fish or tempting dolci.
• The Globe by Kevin Fehling: savour unconventional, modern creations in the three-star chef's small gourmet restaurant.
• Pearls: Look forward to exquisite caviar in a modern setting with a beautiful outdoor terrace on Deck 7. A vegetarian caviar menu (vegan upon request as well) is also available.

In the bars and lounges (surcharge applies) you can sample delicious drinks in the Sansibar or enjoy an aperitif in Gatsby's. We also recommend the Piano Bar, where you can enjoy a coffee in the afternoon or champagne in the evening while listening to pleasant piano music.
