The German tour operator Phoenix Reisen was founded in 1973. In 1988 they chartered the Maxim Gorkiy and started sailing the oceans. At the beginning Phoenix Reisen was a pure high sea cruise line but expanded its range in 1993 to include the popular river cruises. Only a few ships have as many regular customers as the ships of Phoenix Reisen. Thanks to the friendly and familiar atmosphere on board also new customers and cruise newcomers feel at home . In addition to the ocean-going vessels, there are a few smaller vessels for exceptional sailing and numerous river boats. Language on board of the Phoenix ships is German.

On board the MS Artania you will only find spacious and comfortably furnished outside cabins and suites. The cabins have a bed, which is used as a couch during the day, and another lower folding bed (some cabins also have a fold-down bed). Ample storage space and extensive equipment ensure well-being on board. Even the smallest cabins are comfortably large with 15-16 sqm, while the Royal Suit measures a proud 50 sqm. Many cabins, junior suites and suites have their own balcony.

The Artania offers various culinary highlights with two main restaurants of equal value and a buffet restaurant. In all restaurants there is a long, common table time and free choice of seats.

• Artania (main restaurant): Look forward to tasty meals while the large panoramic windows give you a great view.
• Lido Buffet-Restaurant (buffet restaurant): Here you can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in buffet style.

During good weather, you can also eat outside on the sun terrace or in the outdoor pool area.

Starting in December 2025, the culinary offering will be expanded with the addition of the specialty restaurant "Pichler's".

There are also several lounges and bars (not included) on board the Artania to round off the culinary offering. For example, end your evening with the best view in the Panorama-Pazifik-Lounge or have your favorite drink in the Casablanca Bar.

Everything that body, mind and soul need for a successful holiday can be found aboard the MS Artania. Comfortable sun loungers on the outer decks invite you to sunbathe and relax, activities such as shuffleboard or darts provide variety on deck while you can live out your creativity at various classes. For active athletes, the fitness center is the right place to power up. Afterwards you will find relaxation and recreation in the spa area. In the evening you can enjoy great shows and performances in the theater after which you can end the evening with a drink in the bar.
