Welcome aboard Carnival Cruise Line! The American cruise line was founded in 1972 and is part of the Carnival Corporation, which also owns brands such as Princess Cruises and Cunard. Regardless of the booked category all staterooms are equipped with a tv, telephone, safe, 220 volt sockets, air condition, bath robes and pool towels. The staterooms as well as the balconies are non-smoking areas. An advantage for families and groups are staterooms with connecting doors to enjoy more spacious staterooms. The size of the staterooms starts at approximately 17 sqm for interior staterooms and leads up to approximately 37-40 sqm including the balcony for the Grand Suite with jacuzzi and walk-in closet.

In general the atmosphere aboard is relaxed and casual. The dress code is casual as well. An exception of that are one to two evenings per cruise in which an elegant dress code is recommended for the dinner in the main restaurant. The daily programm and onboard facilities offer entertainment for passengers of all ages. Many families, groups, couples and single travellers feel comfortable during their holiday with Carnival Sunrise and enjoy the Caribbean sun.

There is one main dining room with two seatings for the dinner. The first seating starts at approx. 6 pm and the second seating at approx. 8:15 pm. For the travellers who prefer a buffet restaurant the Lido Restaurant is opened for breakfast, lunch and dinner. To increase the culinary variety there is the Mexican Blue Iguana Cantina, the Guy's Burger Joint, the Carnival Deli and the Italian Pizzeria del Capitano. For a surcharge you can try the delicious fish and seafood dishes at the Seafood Shack. In addition to the restaurant services there is a 24-hour room service with many drinks and snacks which are free of cost during the daytime.

The entertainment program aboard of Carnival Sunrise is extensive and covers e.g. workshops, art auctions, bingo and karaoke. Of course different shows are presented in the theatre too. There are a lot of sports facilities like the climbin garden Sky Course, the outdoor sports area, sports classes and the popular Water Works park with water slides. Relaxation and wellness are also part of a cruise with Carnival Sunrise. Wellness treatments and acupuncture are offered in the Cloud 9 Spa. Last but not least there are jacuzzis, swimming pools and a casino aboard.

Carnival Sunrise is a wonderful ship for families. The middle sized ship convinces us with the variety of included restaurants.
