Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). Bookable: Arrival and departure flight including transfers via the cruise line. The basic price, which is a subject to availability, can be requested from 11 months on before departure. In addition, it is possible to book a pre- and/or post-program on request.

About Iona
The Iona was built by Meyer Werft in Papenburg and entered service in 2021. With a passenger capacity of 5,200, a length of over 300 metres and 19 decks, the Iona is the largest cruise ship ever built for the British market. The propulsion system is an innovation. The new member of the fleet can be powered 100% by liquefied natural gas (LNG), which is a much more environmentally friendly option compared to the conventional fuels used to date.
About P&O Cruises
P&O Cruises has been well known and loved in the UK for 175 years. Since 2015, the cruise line has also become increasingly established on the German market. Guests appreciate the traditional high sea experience with a typically British flair. Knowledge of the English language is important to get on board. The fleet of P&O Cruises is child friendly, except the Arcadia and the Oriana that are ships for adults only. The currency on all ships is the British pound.

Iona Staterooms
Everyone who plans a cruise with Iona can select the favourite stateroom of a very high variety of categories. There are 32 different categories including interior, oceanview and balcony staterooms as well as mini suites and suites. Besides that, P&O Cruises offers interior and balcony staterooms for single travellers. The design of the staterooms is influenced by the sea and the beach. Light blue painted walls and golden and white accessories cause a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. If you like to have a coffee directly after waking up, you can prepare it in the stateroom by yourself. Something very special are the Conservatory Mini Suites. These mini suites are equipped with a conservatory which can be connected to the room, to the balcony or to both at the same time. The cream coloured furniture of the suites and the with marble designed bathrooms make the suites more special. To fulfill the special wishes like a dinner on the private sun deck there is a private butler for the guests who booked a suite.
Atmosphere on board the Iona
A cruise with Iona can be described as a traditional cruise experience combined with a modern and amazing style. The atmosphere is inspired by the british flair and traditions. Therefore, every afternoon the typically british afternoon tea is served. In general, the life aboard is relaxed and casual and the familiar atmosphere makes the cruise memorable. Casual clothing for the day adjusted to the destination and more formal evening attire are recommended for a cruise with P&O Cruises.
Iona Restaurants, bars & lounges
Aboard there are 17 different restaurant which give you the opportunity to try the different cuisines from all over the world. In The Quays you can try the exotic food from the buffet. If you prefer a tasty steak, we recommend The Keel & Cow. A really stylish and comfortable place to end the day with an excellent glass of wine is The Glass House on deck 7. During the daytime the bars and lounges as well as the Gelateria are the favourite locations of many guests. In the evenings the dinner is served in different restaurants at two different dining times.
Iona Entertainment, sports and relaxation
The new Sky Dome on deck 16 and 17 is the place to be. In the afternoon one can relax on the sun beds or in one of 18 jacuzzis before the party will start in the evening. The inside pool can be changed into a stage where singers and dancers present their fascinating shows. The Grand Atrium, also called heart of the ship, is the central location aboard. Around the Grand Atrium there are many smaller restaurants and bars. Children can play in The Reef, a club which is divided up into different groups of age and consists of inside and outside areas. For swimming fans there is a high number of swimming pools and jacuzzis. In The Retreat massages and other wellness treatments are offered. Who likes to run in the morning can make one round on the outside jogging track while enjoying the fresh air of the sea. In addition, there are sports classes offered in the sports area on deck 5.
