The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). About MSC Splendida

The MSC Splendida was commissioned in 2009 as the sister ship of the MSC Fantasia and is one of the larger ships of MSC cruises. At 333.30 meters in length, it offers space for 3,247 passengers (with double occupancy). It has an exclusive MSC Yacht Club area. Design and furnishings, designed by the Italian De Jorio Design Studio, are elegant. Nevertheless, the MSC Splendida differs from her similarly designed sister ship. Among the highlights of the ship are the precious Swarovski staircase in the foyer, the Aqua Park with indoor and outdoor pool and over 150 fountains and the popular children's paradise..

About MSC Cruises

Welcome aboard MSC Cruises! The cruise line was founded in 1970 and is the cruise division of the container shipping company Mediterranean Shipping Company. MSC Splendida Staterooms

The staterooms of the MSC Splendida are modern and comfortably furnished and have a bathroom with shower, TV, telephone, minibar and safe. The interior and oceanview staterooms measure approx. 12-13 sqm. The balcony staterooms, which make up 80% of the staterooms, are approx. 17 sqm in size. The suites offer 21-53 sqm depending on the category. Some balcony staterooms and all suites have a bathtub instead of a shower.

Atmosphere on board the MSC Splendida

On board the MSC Splendida, it's like being in a well-kept holiday hotel on land: good food, a wide range of sports, comfortable cabins and many entertainment options. Even though it is relaxed and casual, festive attire is recommended on two evenings during a week. On these evenings, you can always choose to dine in the buffet restaurant.

The cuisine on the MSC Splendida is good and tasty and offers culinary variety and diversity in many different restaurants.

The following restaurants are already included in the price:

Bora Bora Buffet (buffet restaurant): A variety of dishes from the hot and cold buffet as well as Mediterranean delicacies await you here.
Pago Pago Buffet ( buffet restaurant): Look forward to international dishes in a South Pacific ambience.
La Reggia (main restaurant): Sample freshly prepared dishes in the two-storey restaurant.
Villa Verde (main restaurant): Enjoy fine dining in the à la carte restaurant.

Guests of the MSC Yacht Club have access to an exclusive restaurant with gourmet creations and five-star service.

There is a surcharge for the following speciality restaurants:

Butcher's Cut: Savour high-quality Angus beef, for example, in the steakhouse.
Sea Pavilion by Jereme Leung (on cruises in China): Look forward to contemporary Asian fusion cuisine.

In the various lounges and bars (not included ), you can enjoy a relaxing coffee in L'Espresso in the afternoon, savour delicious cocktails in the piano bar La Prua or have an aperitif before dinner in the Splendida Bar. We also recommend La Piazzetta, where you can savour sweet treats such as cupcakes, cakes and macaroons as well as Italian ice cream.

MSC Splendida Entertainment, sports and wellness

Thanks to the wide range of facilities on board, all age groups will feel at home on this comfortable ship. From sports and fitness facilities and an extensive wellness area to a large theatre, a disco, themed parties and various bars, everyone will find their favourite place on board the MSC Splendida. A great special feature is the 4D cinema. Visit a show and experience a unique cinema experience full of surprising visual effects. In the F1 simulator you can put your driving skills to the test and drive a virtual reality race. In the Strand Theatre you can experience breathtaking shows and in the Royal Palm Casino you can try your luck. There are also events for the whole family, such as dance competitions at the DOREMIX Family Disco.

MSC Splendida children

There is plenty to discover on board for children of all ages: Especially the aqua park is providing plenty of fun. Whether outdoor or indoor sports court, mini golf or bowling - here the family members can compete against each other.

Childcare is also provided: babies and toddlers aged between six months and two years are looked after by certified staff in the Baby Club, which was created in collaboration with the leading children's brand Chicco®. Toddlers aged three to six play in the MSC Mini Club and the Junior Club looks after children aged seven to eleven. MSC's experienced entertainers look after the children with various games and many sporting activities. During the day, 12 to 14-year-olds in the Young Club and 15 to 17-year-olds in the Teens Club can enjoy clubs equipped with the latest consoles, games and VR technology, a teen disco and a dinner organised exclusively for teenagers.

The MSC Voyages Club member number has to be entered directly while booking in order to benefit from the club discount - if applicable for this cruise and rate - in order get it applied to the reservation.

Additional destination fees for cruise passengers: Some destinations charge a separate fee for cruise passengers to support local infrastructure and promote sustainable tourism, among other things. MSC Cruises passes on these additional costs and charges them to your onboard account. This is currently the case for:

Iceland: Mandatory for all passengers, approx. 18 € per day/person for each 24-hour stay, debited from the on-board account after departure from the port
Greece: For all shore leavers, depending on the port/season varying fees (approx. 1-20 € per person/port), debited from the on-board account the evening before the respective call and, in case of remaining in the port on board, refunded within 24 hours

Required travel documents by MSC Cruises: Every passenger has to have a valid passport whose validity is still given 6 months after the trip. For all cruises that only call ports in the EU including Norway and Iceland, German citizens only require identity card or children up to the age of 14 a children's passport or ePassport; these documents need a validity of 6 months after the trip.
