Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket is valid on DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German train stations (and Basel Badischer Bahnhof, Kufstein, Salzburg Hbf and Schaffhausen) on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC) and includes a free seat reservation, as well as the City Ticket. Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. For journeys over 100 km, the Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket can also be used on the day before the ship's departure and on the day after the ship's arrival.
- Seascanner Rail & Cruise SAVER: Save on your ticket price - The Seascanner Rail & Cruise SAVER is subject to a train connection after selecting the desired connection (does not apply to local trains; however, the journey must be completed by 10:00 AM on the following day). Rebooking/cancellation is not possible.
- Seascanner Rail & Cruise FLEX: Benefit from more flexibility - with Seascanner Rail & Cruise FLEX, you select the connection you want, but are then flexible in the use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). Rebooking/cancellation is possible on request.
After booking the Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket, you will receive one voucher code per person and route. Redeem your voucher code on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired train connection from those displayed. - Information regarding the parking lot: Provision of a fenced and guarded parking lot near the port including transfer from the parking lot to the ship and back. Payment on arrival at the parking lot on site with EC or credit card. You will receive all details as well as exact directions to your parking space approximately 14 days before your trip begins.
- Pricing and vehicle: Price per vehicle for the entire duration of the cruise including transfers. Early check-in (arrival between 8-10 AM) for 50 € surcharge, motorhome surcharge depending on size 60-100 € per vehicle (only outdoor parking); electricity connection for 35 € per vehicle (electric car/motorhome) for up to 18 days cruises can be added on request.
- Repositionings: Car transfer Kiel/Hamburg 249 € per vehicle + parking lot rent, shuttle transfer for 70 € per person; Bremerhaven 319 € per vehicle + parking lot rent, shuttle transfer for 70 € per person
- Cancellation fees: Cancellation free of charge up to 11 AM on the day of arrival, after that 100 %.
In addition to the flights and local transfers, the Germany-wide Rail&Fly ticket in 2nd class for all PREMIUM prices or in 1st class for the COMFORT ALL IN fare is included. The Rail&Fly ticket is not valid for cruises from/to Germany and cannot be used for departure and destination train stations in the same DB transport network. For bookings in all other fares, the Rail&Fly ticket can be booked for an additional charge.
About AIDAluna
AIDAluna was built in 2009 and is constructed similarly to the sister ships AIDAdiva and AIDAbella. AIDAluna was recently modernised in April 2019. It was built in the Meyer Shipyard in Germany, has a length of approximately 252 metres and accommodates up to 2,500 guests. On board there are different facilities for sports, entertainment and wellness. Everyone will find a favourite place which makes the holiday memorable. A new facility aboard is the Bavarian Almhütte and the shops got a new design.
About AIDA Cruises
The AIDA fleet has been sailing the world's oceans since 1996 and has been very successful on the German cruise market with a casual and informal concept. There is no fixed table order and you are welcome to leave your formal attire at home. AIDA Cruises convinces with a variety of buffets, a good sports program and varied entertainment. AIDAluna staterooms
The comfortable and cozy furnished staterooms are equipped with an individual air condition, tv, radio, telephone, safe, hair dryer, bathrobes and life jackets regardless of the cabin category. Nearly all categories are available for four travellers as well. Some staterooms are equipped with connecting doors and highly recommended for families. The interior staterooms are apprx. 13.5 sqm in size. The largest stateroom is the deluxe suite with a size of approx. 87 sqm incl. balcony. To meet special needs as well there are eleven wheelchair accessible interior and oceanview staterooms of the categories IB, MA and MB available.
Atmosphere on board
According to the onboard facilities of AIDAluna guests of all ages and especially families feel comfortable. The travellers appreciate the relaxed and informal atmosphere. The language aboard is German but the crew members and many guests understand English as well. The daily program with sports and entertainment highlights cause a pleasant variety for the guests. At any hour of the night or day there will be a calm place to enjoy the silence and watch the ocean as well.
AIDAluna Restaurants, bars & lounges
The culinary offering on board AIDAdiva includes numerous restaurants where every guest will find something to suit them. You can expect a culinary variety ranging from traditional to modern dishes.
The following restaurants are already included in the price:
- Bella Vista Restaurant (buffet restaurant): A variety of dishes from the hot and cold buffet as well as delicacies from the Mediterranean cuisine await you here.
- Market Restaurant (buffet restaurant): Discover the various "market stalls" and try specialities from all over Europe.
- Weite Welt Restaurant (buffet restaurant): Enjoy dishes from all over the world, e.g. Thai curry or burritos.
- Almhütte (drinks not included): Sample specialities from the Alpine region.
- Best Pizza @ Sea (drinks not included): Enjoy new pizza creations every day as well as Italian starters and desserts.
You pay a surcharge in the following restaurants:
- Buffalo Steak House: Sample tasty grilled specialities, e.g. American beef.

In the numerous bars and lounges (not included) you can enjoy a relaxing cappuccino in the Café Mare, savour delicious cocktails in the AIDA Bar or have an aperitif in the Vinothek. We also recommend the Sunset Bar, where you can enjoy the sunset with a cool drink.
Entertainment, sports and relaxation
If the ship is in a port different shore excursions including the most beautiful places of the area take place. Especially the shore excursions by bicycle, segway, canoe or stand up paddle enjoy increasing popularity because one gets to know the places in a very different and unique way. The program aboard is varied. In the Theatrium art auctions, readings and lectures take place. The shows which are presented in the evening are produced exclusively at AIDA Entertainment in Hamburg, Germany. There is live music in the AIDA Bar and theme parties take place at the pool deck or in the Anytime Bar. During a 7-day cruise approximately 30 sports classes are offered and one can participate in most of them for free. At the outside sports area football, volleyball and basketball matches and tournaments take place. The best place to relax after coming back to the ship or after doing sports is the Body & Soul Spa. Book a wellness treatment e.g. a massage or visit one of the three saunas which are free of cost.
