The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). Sustainability Explora IV
The Explora IV is the second ship in the Explora fleet to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG). This almost completely eliminates emissions such as sulphur oxides and nitrogen oxides.
In addition, the entire fleet will be equipped with the latest environmental and marine technologies, including selective catalytic reduction technology, a shore power connection, underwater noise protection systems to protect marine life and a comprehensive range of energy-efficient equipment on board.

All of the 461 suites are equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows, spacious terraces, luxurious bathrooms and a walk-in closet with seating.

There are a total of seven restaurants and eight bars & lounges on board. From steakhouse to Mediterranean cuisine to Asian specialties - there is something for every taste on board the Explora IV:

- Experience the finest pan-Asian dishes in Sakura.
Enjoy hand-picked meat, for example, at Marble & Co. Grill. - Sample exclusive wines with international dishes with a French touch at Fil Rouge.
The Med Yacht Club restaurant pampers your palate in a relaxed atmosphere. - Sample delicacies from around the world in a relaxed atmosphere at the Emporium Marketplace. The focus is on healthy, delicious and, above all, local and sustainable dishes.
In the bars and lounges, you can enjoy relaxed European coffee specialties in the Crema Café and a large selection of cocktails and long drinks in the Journeys Lounge, for example. Or how about an elegant journey to the whisky regions of the world in the Malt Whiskey Bar. We also recommend the Sky Bar On 14 in the outdoor area, where you can enjoy the sunset with a cool drink.

On the Explora IV you can visit the art gallery, try your luck in the casino or browse in the various high-quality boutiques.
It offers you countless shopping opportunities. The stores offer unique collections that work together for people and the planet.
The “Ocean Wellness” spa area includes Ocean Wellness - The Spa, as well as a state-of-the-art fitness center, which was created in collaboration with Technogym and features the latest training equipment. There is also the unique open-air fitness area on deck 14, where guests can work out in the open air while enjoying the view of the water.
Special areas have been added to the Nautilus Club to cater for children and teenagers. Here, a team of experienced hosts ensures that younger guests also experience unforgettable moments.

On deck 11 you will find the Nautilus Club Juniors and the Nautilus Club Teens. Here, children aged 6 to 17 will find an environment where they are inspired and kept busy.

You can book shore excursions for your cruise in advance or request them directly on board. There you will find a counter for shore excursions where you can get advice or, depending on availability, book excursions directly.

Tipps & Infos
Additional destination fees for cruise passengers: Some destinations charge a separate fee for cruise passengers to support local infrastructure and promote sustainable tourism, among other things. Explora Journeys passes on these additional costs and charges them to your onboard account. This is currently the case for:
- Iceland: Mandatory for all passengers, approx. 18 € per day/person for each 24-hour stay
- Greece: For all shore leavers, depending on the port/season varying fees (approx. 1-20 € per person/port)
Required travel documents by Explora Journeys: Every passenger has to have a valid passport whose validity is still given 6 months after the trip. For all cruises that only call ports in the EU including Norway and Iceland, German/Austrian/Swiss citizens only require identity card whose validity is still given 6 months after the trip; all children up to and including the age of 14 require a children's passport or ePassport; these documents need a validity of 6 months after the trip.
