Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket is valid on DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German train stations (and Basel Badischer Bahnhof, Kufstein, Salzburg Hbf and Schaffhausen) on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC) and includes a free seat reservation, as well as the City Ticket. Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. For journeys over 100 km, the Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket can also be used on the day before the ship's departure and on the day after the ship's arrival.
- Seascanner Rail & Cruise SAVER: Save on your ticket price - The Seascanner Rail & Cruise SAVER is subject to a train connection after selecting the desired connection (does not apply to local trains; however, the journey must be completed by 10:00 AM on the following day). Rebooking/cancellation is not possible.
- Seascanner Rail & Cruise FLEX: Benefit from more flexibility - with Seascanner Rail & Cruise FLEX, you select the connection you want, but are then flexible in the use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). Rebooking/cancellation is possible on request.
After booking the Seascanner Rail & Cruise ticket, you will receive one voucher code per person and route. Redeem your voucher code on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired train connection from those displayed. - On request, a shuttle service from Passau Central Station to the ship and back can be booked through A-ROSA for 12.50 € per person/journey. Please note your special request under "Do you have any special requests?" in the third booking step. We will be happy to take care of everything else for you after the booking is complete.
- Globus transfer buses are available on the left side of the station forecourt after leaving the station concourse and depart from the station at around 3 PM on the day of embarkation. On the day of disembarkation, you will be driven to the station in the morning. Please refer to your travel documents or the information on board for the exact transfer time.
- Passengers traveling via Nuremberg: From 6th February 2026, there will be significant restrictions on travel on the Nuremberg-Regensburg section of the route due to major renovation work. As an alternative for departures from March to May 2026, you can book a shuttle service from Nuremberg Central Station to the ship in Passau and back via A-ROSA for 120 € per person for a round trip.Please note your special request under "Do you have any special requests?" in the third booking step. We will be happy to take care of everything else for you after the booking is complete.
About A-ROSA Riva
The A-ROSA Riva was built in 2004 at the Neptun shipyard and has room for a maximum of 242 guests. On board you will find a number of amenities, such as a spacious sun deck, a heated outdoor pool and a panoramic lounge with bar and dance floor. In the restaurant you can enjoy regional and seasonal specialities. The crew is very friendly and will do everything to make you feel welcome on board.
About A-ROSA
A-ROSA has been offering river cruises on a first-class level with a modern finish for 15 years. The cruise line welcomes you in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with spacious and bright cabins and with varied and fresh cuisine. The casual atmosphere is emphasised by the fact that no particular dress-codes or seating times are expected . Various activities and wellness on board as well as interesting country programs complete the range at A-ROSA. Please note that the onboard language is German. Menus, itineraries or other documents can not be provided in any other language.

A-ROSA Riva Sustainability
A-ROSA has had a sustainability department since 2022, which works closely with the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI). All ships in the fleet have a shore power connection and are powered by marine gas oil without heavy fuel oil during the voyage. Waste is continuously reduced, for example through the use of paper straws and careful separation of waste. In addition, many care and cleaning products on board are made with certified ingredients. To save water, towels and bed linen are only cleaned as required during the voyage.
Atmosphere on board
On the A-ROSA ships you feel like you are in a very good hotel: the furnishings are modern and elegant. Light colours, large panoramic windows and a spacious salon create plenty of room for you to relax, enjoy and at the same time experience a lot during your holiday. The guests are often somewhat younger than on river cruises with other providers. Now and then, families also like to travel with A-ROSA during their holidays. Guests dress sportily and elegantly, formal attire is not required.
The staterooms
All staterooms on the A-ROSA Riva are outside cabins. The staterooms on deck 1 (category S and A) have a window and are about 14.5 to 15.5 sqm. The staterooms on deck 2 (category C, approx. 16 sqm) have a French balcony. On deck 3 there are the staterooms of category B, which offer particularly large panoramic windows and are approx. 16.5 sqm in size.
In all staterooms there are two beds which are combined to form a double bed. All staterooms are equipped with a full bathroom and have a sitting area, a small table and a TV.
Food and Beverages
The restaurant offers open table times and large buffets. This means you can eat flexibly within the opening hours, when you want and with whom you want. There are no reserved tables. The buffet offers varied dishes with many fresh, regional products. At some stations, dishes are also freshly prepared "live" (so-called "show cooking"). There is no à la carte restaurant on board. Mineral water is included with meals. A café bar invites you to enjoy delicious coffee specialities. Coffee and tea are available free of charge in the afternoon, coffee specialities can be purchased for an additional charge. The large bar on deck 3 in the front area offers a very nice view. Here you can order from an extensive bar menu (not included).
Entertainment, sports and wellness
There is a very beautiful Finnish panorama sauna on board. Through the large windows you can see the landscape pass by during your sauna session. There is also a less hot bio sauna and some modern fitness equipment. A small rest area invites you to relax between sauna sessions. In addition, there are two very nice rooms for massage and wellness treatments with a view outside (treatments for a fee). On the sun deck there is a heatable, small pool as well as numerous loungers for sunbathing and relaxing.
Shore Excursions
A-ROSA has developed an extensive land program. All excursions can be booked on board. So there are usually sightseeing tours, trips to castles, wineries and other attractions. There are also boat trips or strolls into town in the program. The bicycles of A-ROSA are used for trips to the environment (difficulty levels).
