Arrival & Departure Options
The Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket can only be used in conjunction with an international flight to/from a German airport or to/from Salzburg and Basel (for flights to/from Amsterdam, Zurich, Brussels and Vienna, this service is available on request for an additional charge). It applies to DB (Deutsche Bahn) routes from all German stations on all scheduled regular trains (including ICE, IC and EC). Unfortunately, a BahnCard discount cannot be granted. Children (up to and including 14 years of age) travel free of charge when accompanied by their parents/grandparents. The Rail&Fly can be used on the day before the outbound flight and on the day after the return flight.
You will receive a voucher code per person and route after the booking of the Seascanner Rail&Fly ticket. The voucher codes can be reedemed on kreuzfahrtberater.bahnanreise.de by selecting the desired connection from those displayed. You will then receive the digital ticket as a PDF download and/or by e-mail. Nevertheless, you are flexible in your use of the trains (provided you keep the selected route and travel day). About MSC Preziosa
The MSC Preziosa is the latest ship in the Fantasia class of MSC Cruises and was commissioned in 2013. The MSC Preziosa offers space for approx. 3,500 passengers at a length of 333.30 meters. The public areas are very modern and the color scheme is a bit simpler than on some other MSC ships. Many natural materials were used, such as natural stone for the paved piazza. The staterooms are also more classic, but decorated with colorful accents. The MSC Preziosa has an exclusive MSC Yacht Club area.

Sustainability MSC Preziosa
MSC Cruises has set itself the long-term goal of achieving zero emissions in all its operations. In order to already avoid as many emissions as possible, the MSC Preziosa has a shore power connection and can therefore be connected to a shore power system in all ports where it is available. Other sustainability measures on board include reducing water consumption, comprehensive wastewater treatment processes and the installation of a ballast water treatment system. In addition, the MSC Preziosa's Environmental Officer ensures that special procedures are followed to reduce, reuse and recycle waste. The cruise line also has a program to reduce plastics, for example, all plastic straws have been replaced with 100 % compostable alternatives and in collaboration with suppliers, disposable plastics are removed from products and packaging wherever possible.
MSC Preziosa Staterooms
The staterooms on the MSC Preziosa are modern and comfortably furnished and have a bathroom with shower, TV, telephone, minibar and safe. The interior and oceanview staterooms measure approx. 12-20 sqm, the balcony staterooms 14-19 sqm and the suites have 21-42 sqm in size, depending on the category. The suites are equipped with a bathtub instead of a shower. Tip: In the MSC Yacht Club, guests can expect suites ranging in size from 22-51 square meters as well as many amenities such as butler service, a restaurant and a pool deck just for the Yacht Club and many drinks included.
Atmosphere on board the MSC Preziosa
On board the MSC Preziosa, it's like landing in a well-kept holiday hotel: good food, a wide range of sports, comfortable staterooms and many entertainment options. Even if it is relaxed and casual on board, festive attire is recommended two nights a week. On these evenings you can also dine at the buffet restaurant, to avoid the festive evenings.

From sports and fitness facilities and an extensive wellness area to a large theater, a disco, theme parties, family-friendly events such as dance competitions in the DOREMIX Family Disco, and various bars, everyone will find their favorite spot on board the MSC Preziosa. A great special feature is the 120 m long water slide Vertigo or the 4D cinema. Visit a show and experience a unique cinema experience full of surprising visual effects. In the F1 simulator you can put your driving skills to the test and drive a virtual reality race. In the Platinum Theatre you can experience breathtaking shows and in the Millenium Star Casino you can try your luck.
MSC Preziosa children
There is plenty to discover on board for children of all ages: A pool and slide await in the Doremi Castle Aqua park, providing plenty of fun. Whether outdoor or indoor sports court, mini golf or bowling - here the family members can compete against each other.
Childcare is also provided: babies and toddlers aged between six months and two years are looked after by certified staff in the Baby Club, which was created in collaboration with the leading children's brand Chicco®. Toddlers aged three to six play in the MSC Mini Club and the Junior Club looks after children aged seven to eleven. MSC's experienced entertainers look after the children with various games and many sporting activities. During the day, 12 to 14-year-olds in the Young Club and 15 to 17-year-olds in the Teens Club can enjoy clubs equipped with the latest consoles, games and VR technology, a teen disco and a dinner organised exclusively for teenagers.

Confirmation of stateroom numbers: Stateroom numbers are always confirmed by MSC Cruises under reserve, the cruise line reserves the right to change the stateroom after the booking.
MSC Voyages Club member numbers or vouchers: Please inform us about these within your reservation. The MSC Voyages Club member number has to be entered directly while booking in order to benefit from the club discount - if applicable for this cruise and rate - in order get it applied to the reservation.
Additional destination fees for cruise passengers: Some destinations charge a separate fee for cruise passengers to support local infrastructure and promote sustainable tourism, among other things. MSC Cruises passes on these additional costs and charges them to your onboard account. This is currently the case for:
- Iceland: Mandatory for all passengers, approx. 18 € per day/person for each 24-hour stay, debited from the on-board account after departure from the port
- Greece: For all shore leavers, depending on the port/season varying fees (approx. 1-20 € per person/port), debited from the on-board account the evening before the respective call and, in case of remaining in the port on board, refunded within 24 hours

Required travel documents by MSC Cruises: Every passenger has to have a valid passport whose validity is still given 6 months after the trip. For all cruises that only call ports in the EU including Norway and Iceland, German citizens only require identity card or children up to the age of 14 a children's passport or ePassport; these documents need a validity of 6 months after the trip.
