Mein Schiff Flow, as well as its sister ship Mein Schiff Relax, are equipped with dual fuel engines and improved catalytic converters (nitrogen oxide reduction to Euro 6 standard). The engines can be operated with both liquefied natural gas (LNG) and marine diesel; in the future, operation with low-emission and climate-friendly bio- and e-LNG will also be possible.

In addition, both ships have a shore power connection for the use of electricity from the shore side during port periods. Furthermore, TUI Cruises - Mein Schiff insists that the shore-side electricity used is generated sustainably.

Mein Schiff Flow will also have an even more efficient waste processing system with an innovative waste system that thermally shreds organic waste and prepares it directly for further use ashore.

Overall, Mein Schiff Flow will have a higher proportion of balcony staterooms than the previous ships in the fleet. The stateooms in the various categories offer standard sizes and well thought-out, modern Scandinavian furnishings. 

Compared to the previous ships, single balcony staterooms with a size of approx. 11 sqm are now also available for the first time on the new Mein Schiff Flow in addition to single staterooms inside and oceanview.

The newly designed standard inside, oceanview and balcony staterooms with bright interiors can accommodate up to four people and are between 15-17 sqm in size. Freedom of movement is somewhat restricted in some cases, but the storage space is well thought out.

Seascanner.com booking tip: Some balcony staterooms on deck 6 (category G and H) are visible from the outside due to a possible side walkway (which leads all the way around the front of the bow, among other things) and have a restricted view of the sea at this point due to the design. Some of the staterooms are at eye level with other passengers passing by. If you would like as much privacy as possible and a staterooms without a restricted view, we recommend booking a stateroom on higher decks or in other cabin categories.

Mein Schiff Flow also offers junior suites with approx. 26 sqm of living space as well as various suite categories (Fernweh Suite, Große Freiheit Suite, Weitblick Suite, Schöne Aussicht Suite).

Guests can expect a particularly large amount of space in the new suite category: the Große Freiheit Suite (Great Freedom Suite) extends over two decks and, with approx. 88 sqm of living space and approx. 53 sqm of veranda, has plenty of room for up to six people. It also has a living room with a games console, a smaller and a spacious bedroom and an infrared sauna in the bathroom.

On board the Mein Schiff Flow, you can expect a relaxed and unhurried atmosphere.

We were particularly impressed by the spacious outdoor areas on the sister ship Mein Schiff Relax, which offer plenty of open space as well as privacy and tranquillity. Well-being, relaxation and enjoyment are the focus of the new ship.

Make the most of the cruise line's familiar feel-good concept on this ship, too, by taking advantage of the many included meals and drinks, having a good time and planning your evening meal flexibly within the restaurant opening hours.

From the exclusive Japanese restaurant to Greek specialities and the French bistro - there is something for every culinary taste in the numerous restaurants and bistros (14) as well as bars and lounges (17). Mein Schiff Flow awaits guests with new and varied highlights.

The following restaurants are included in the price:

• Harbour Market (buffet restaurant): A variety of dishes from the hot and cold buffet await you here - from home-style cooking to a wok station and speciality buffets.
• Taverna Dionysos: Try Greek specialities, e.g. gyros and bifteki, in the blue and white interior or in the outdoor area.
• Mein Schiff Bar & Bistro: Enjoy a daily changing selection of dishes from different cultures and a wide range of drinks.
• Sur Mer Bistrot: Savour typical French dishes such as coq au vin or fresh croissants.
• Atlantik (main restaurant): A rich breakfast buffet awaits you here in the morning and daily changing 5-course menus in the evening.
• Osteria - Pizza e Pasta: The Italian restaurant offers homemade pizza, pasta and fresh salads.
• Pane e Sole Bistro: Here you can enjoy light meals such as sandwiches or fruit salad in a relaxed atmosphere.

• Høfde: Delicious meat and fish classics are served in this cosy steakhouse. Tip: You can also have breakfast here for a small flat rate, the delicacies are freshly prepared according to your wishes.
• Fugu: Sample Asian delicacies while virtual reality effects, projections and various sounds accompany your meal. German TV chef Tim Raue guides you digitally through the evening.
• Chalet: Enjoy specialities of Alpine cuisine in a cosy fireplace atmosphere.
• X-View: During the day, guests in the junior suite and suites can help themselves to the included buffet, while in the evening the restaurant is open to all guests (subject to reservation) and serves food and drinks for an additional charge.

The numerous bars and lounges leave nothing to be desired. For example, you can relax with a delicious cappuccino in the Barista Bar with fairtrade coffees (not included) or enjoy an aperitif in the Atlantik Bar, which elegantly adjoins the restaurant. The open-air Agora Bar is also worth a visit in good weather.

Our personal recommendation for a special culinary evening: start the evening with a delicious drink of your choice in the Street Art Bar with graffiti art right next to the Fugu restaurant before experiencing a unique dinner here. The dinner show will stay in your memory for a long time and the food served is extremely tasty! Afterwards, round off the evening in the Captain's Bar (entrance at the Osteria), where you can try one of the unusual, cleverly designed drinks and let your gaze wander out over the water.

On the Mein Schiff Flow special attention is paid to relaxation: in the large SPA area, a Finnish sauna with a panoramic view of the sea, steam bath, herbal sauna and foot baths are available. The new cold chamber offers the opportunity to book cryotherapy treatments as an exclusive service. A short but lasting experience! Of course, you can also enjoy classic massages and cosmetic treatments or relax in the relaxation room. A special highlight is the barrel sauna, which is located at the very top of an outside deck. The whirlpools invite you to relax in the outdoor area, while the infinity pool and the outdoor pool with a length of 25 m provide pleasant refreshment during the day.

The gym area is also state of the art and there is plenty of water to see during your workout. The fully covered sports arena is also a highlight and offers an excellent sports option both for adults during courses and for children as a multi-sports field. The jogging circuit on the pool deck runs under the Marcoon roof and offers a beautiful view of the ship and the passing landscape. In places, however, it is a little narrow and not clearly separated from the footpath, so a little attention is required here.

For those who like it a little less sporty:

• Experience unique burlesque shows and live music at La Cage - a new theater with a stage and bar as well as an adjoining casino area.
• Another new hexagonal theater can be used in a variety of ways, for example for events or as a club. Drinks can be taken to your seat.
• You can also look forward to plays, variety shows, readings and lectures at the Blaue Flora.
• There is a well-equipped Reader's Lounge near the reception.
• The Neue Wall awaits you with various on-board stores.
• The ship's own studio is the right place for creative people.
• For a souvenir that gets under your skin: visit the tattoo studio on board. Your Wildcat tattoo artists will discuss your desired motif with you, ensure a fantastic result and also advise you on aftercare and care products. Families and children are very welcome on board Mein Schiff! Specially trained child and youth counselors are on board for this purpose.

In the Kids Club “Island of the Pirates”, little sailors aged 3-11 are in wonderful hands. Great adventures and stories await the little explorers! During the German school vacations, workshops and changing themed trips are offered according to age groups with lots of activities for the whole family; outside the vacations, there is a colorful mix of themed days.

For the slightly older guests, there is a lovely chill-out area where they can play games with their peers or have a soccer match at the table football table.

There is a children's buffet in the buffet restaurant and special children's menus in the main restaurant Atlantik. Highchairs for children in the restaurants are available and can be used.

For entertainment in the staterooms, games consoles are available in all family staterooms, junior suites and suites. In addition, family-friendly excursions can be arranged via the shore excursions department aboard.

Baby cribs (up to 15 kg body weight) can be requested before the start of the cruise, subject to availability.

Mein Schiff Flow will introduce an adapted concept - like her sister ship Mein Schiff Relax - within the fleet, combining familiar elements with innovations.

This applies in particular to suite guests, who have three wonderful exclusive areas at the stern of the ship (X-Sundeck, X-View and X-Coast) in addition to new suite categories and high-quality extra meals.

There will be no slides on the Mein Schiff Flow, but families will also feel at home on board. The family staterooms, among others, offer great accommodation for a wonderful vacation and the children's areas and the childcare program as well as the whirlpools and pools provide variety.
